Wife and I enjoyed our trip to Dubuque, Iowa. We enjoyed at this this super 8 motel. Employees were friendly and helpful with directions. Rooms was clean and adequate for our need. We will stay here in the near future. Thank you
The start to the homecoming weekend did not start out acceptable. Had to do a new reservation due to reservation not falling through. The bathroom toilet leaked and there were cracks in the walls. The internet sucked as well.
Stayed here for work but was not happy. Had to wake up the front desk clerk when I arrived. Although the bed was comfortable, I couldn't sleep and felt unsafe. There a was a gap in between the door and frame. It looked like some had kicked in the door or it was too small for the frame. The shower head was either rusted or moldy. Either way, I didn't use it. The was very little water pressure from the sink and it had to run for a little while to get hot. I had to clean the glass plate in the microwave because it wasn't cleaned by the staff. Hotel is very outdated and smells moldy and damp in the halls. A/C unit was loud no matter how I tried adjust it and had to bring in an extra blanket from the car because it wouldn't get warm. Was also charged $145.00 per night.
For the area it was reasonable. Older hotel which shows its age. Everything Worked and it was clean. Housekeeping and clerk were helpful with requests. Lots of construction workers at this location. I am not saying it’s a bad thing. Clean and affordable room.
Stayed 2 nights. Staff was friendly and cheerful. No room upgrade available for Wyndham member. The room was clean and well maintained. Had to go up the stairs which was not pleasant.I would rate this super 8 as a B+
Little pricy for a super 8, but we are here for the minor league baseball game. so the town was super busy and rate are high. The ro0m was spacious and clean. Older hotel but kept clean. breakfast was okay.
I wouldn't recommend this Super 8 at all. Pictures are deceiving! First, when I got there to check in the guy was sleeping behind the reception desk and when he woke up he seemed very mad I had awoken him- not friendly at all. (And couldn't hardly speak English either) Once we got to our room we decided to leave pur shoes on as the carpet was dirty, greasy looking and sticky. The bed was not great and the room felt humid and sticky. We were on the first floor so it felt like we were in the basement. We got up amd left as quick as we could. The lady at the desk when I checked out the front desk clerk wasn't any friendlier. I was more glad to leave than she was to have me leave!
The hotel is conveniently located. The room was clean and bed was comfortable, but the breakfast only had cold cereal, bad cinnamon rolls, coffee and juice. We choose this hotel because they are pet friendly, but there is an addition cost for the pet.
Room is very clean, beds are comfortable and clean. Water was hot. Breakfast ends at 9 and have very limited type of food. The exterior needs work, as well as lobby, but we didn't care about it - we needed a room to sleep. Easy check in and check out. Overall - clan and nice place to sleep at night.
This was the most disappointing hotel I have stayed in for years and way over priced. Where do I start.... the front desk clerk was great and when he told us there was no elevator and we were on the third floor was nice enough to give us a room on the 2nd floor. When we got in the room the smell was horrendous and smelled like mold. We immediately opened a window and this mellowed out the smell. The floor was not even and was slanted. We could not get hot water in the bathroom sink and the toilet was so low I have been talking soprano 1/2 of today. During the night the room got cold and we turned on the heat. Needless to say that Mold smelling smell returned and we started getting ready to leave. They said a small breakfast was provided which consisted of very mini muffins. No thanks. When in the room we heard noices that sounded like construction going on above us. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were too. I would highly recommend not staying at this hotel until they remodel and make necessary repairs. I still will emphasize the staff was pleasant.…
