Its hard to start listing the accolades for this boutique hotel overlooking the mighty Mississippi. Friendly Inn keepers, beautiful rooms with period furnishings, prepared individually hot breakfasts, free parking. Elevator. Great restaurant (Atlas) attached. Who could ask for more? Not these seasoned travelers. Five STARs

This is a quaint 2 story hotel with less than 20 rooms. Each one is filled with antiques & a Victorian feel. Some have fireplaces, & some have jacuzzi tubs. Breakfast is included & served in the morning room. And this isn't you basic breakfast that you find at chain hotels. Bonnie made us Denver omelettes, & homemade blueberry coffee...

If you want to spend a few days watching the mighty Mississippi and its barges, if you want to watch mainline train action on the famed Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe railroad (now the BNSF) and if you want to see the last double-deck swing bridge (trains on lower deck, cars and trucks on the upper) in action across the...

We wanted to be near the river and view of the trains during our two night stay. My room at Kingsley Inn did not disappoint. We requested a river front, trackside room. It was huge, beautiful, comfortable and pretty quiet. You can hear the brief train whistles at night, but for train lovers it is like a lullaby. If you...

Stayed one night at the inn which has sort of a B & B feel. Upon going upstairs to our room, all vacant rooms had the doors wide open so you could see the interior. Our room was filled with Victorian charm and the bathroom was very adequate. (Limited space to set your stuff). Sunday morning buffet (included with room...

I love remodeled historic hotels like this. Each room is decorated differently in a style that calls back to the 1920s. We secured two rooms and one was decorated with an emerald green while the other was in a light pink. Both rooms had lovely flatscreen TV's and their own individual air conditioning unit. There is a lovely modern elevator...

When we arrived to check in there was nobody at the front desk. We happen to see a small piece of paper that said to enter the adjacent restaurant in somebody would help us get checked in. After entering the restaurant in asking for help we waited another 15 minutes before somebody arrived. The restaurant was not that busy to...

Very pretty hotel. The room was facing the river, very nice room and bathroom. The trains didn't bother us at all. We ate at the attached restaurant, very good dinner. The breakfast at the hotel was so good, very nice set-up. Would definitely recommend this hotel!
