We had an excellent stay at Bella Vista when we were in Iowa City for a conference at the University. Daissy is wonderful - personable, well-traveled, an excellent cook, and so friendly. The B+B is comfortable and in a lovely neighborhood close to the river and the historic downtown district -- we'll definitely return if we are in Iowa City...

If you are looking for a place away from home, stay here! Daissy is the sweetest hostess you will ever meet and she will treat you like family. She makes a killer breakfast and an amazing cup of coffee. Plus, her house is filled with amazing photography from all of her travels. Since she has traveled to so many countries,...

I have just started at the University of Iowa as an English exchange student. I stayed at Daissy's lovely B&B for one night before moving into halls, and it was a wonderful start to my US experience. While situated a walk from the U of Iowa and downtown, A Bella Vista is in a serene neighbourhood. While the location is...

We found Daissy's place on trip advisor on our way from Chicago to Iowa City and were so lucky that she had availability. She was very flexible with our arrival time and even stayed up to greet us. The space itself was wonderful - private entrance, spacious, own kitchen, very clean and neat decor. Breakfast was delicious and it was...

This is an absolutely wonderful place to stay in Iowa City, and I would definitely stay there again. The place is quiet, clean, welcoming, lovely, and comfortable. I truly felt like I was coming home at the end of the day when I returned to Bella Vista. I easily walked to the University of Iowa campus and the Ped Mall,...

A Bella Vista & Daissy, the proprietor, remain 1 of the key reasons we return to Iowa City every July. She's become a good friend and it's just such a great place to use for home base as we make our way to the annual jazz fest, walk the neighborhood & through the university campus. Daissy's a great cook, loves...

A Bella Vista B&B is everything a generic hotel experiance is not. Daissy, the owner, is kind, accommodating and friendly. The atmosphere of the B&B is welcoming and personal. The decorations make you feel like you're staying at a friend's home and not like you're staying at a hotel. And, the rooms really reflect the values of the vibrant small...
