Sure the hotel seems to fall apart, food is edible at best(except bread it's delicious and fresh everyday), when we did have water in our room it was cold, our beds were hard and the AC way too loud. BUT YOU DON'T GO THERE FOR...More
I have been going to Ancon for years and yes I know its problems but the staff and location make me come back. When I am there I am surrounded by repeat customers and you can usually find them at Hector's bar. Hector makes the...More

No gym, this is not your typical resort. So don't expect much and you won't be disappointed. Bring bug spray for the mosquitos and flies. Bring slippers for the room and shower. We come here to scuba dive only. Stayed here three times, and we always have zero expectation. Plan ahead with the banker, it is a hit and miss when you can exchange currency. The pool, they have been working on it for years. Hopefully, it will be finished when you get there. Remember, just keep reminding yourself, "its Cuba" and embrace the culture. Bring small gifts for housekeeping and the restaurant staff and you will be well looked after. Don't let the short older grill cook con you for your sun glasses or jewelry. We watched him in action when new tourist came into the restaurant. Have fun.
