This Hotel is not easy to rate as a lot of things went wrong in the past and I don't yet see improvement from the management side. But first of all, if you are in the deep south to dive, this hotel with the adjoint Emperor base is an excellent choice. The hotel has hardly any guests, so don't expect...

This is a good hotel if you’re looking for a base in order to go diving with Emperor Divers in Hamata. The dive centre is on site. The hotel was very quiet when I stayed, ranging from five to nine guests. So there was plenty of room to spread out should you so wish! The staff were friendly and couldn’t...

Zabargad is a quiet hotel in the middle of nowhere. It is very different from noisy and crowded resorts in Hurghada or Port Ghalib. The rooms are located in small groups, all of them have sea view and a small nice terrace. There is a private sandy beach with sun beds in a distance of 20-50m from the guestrooms. The...

This is a basic and quiet hotel. It is not the Ritz and it is not lively like Butlins and not really child friendly. The hotel is about 1km from the village of Hamata, which itself is nothing more than a basic shop, fish restaurant and a few simple houses etc. The hotel is part finished. I was aware of...

We traveled to Hamata to do some diving. We were not looking for luxury, good food nice people and no hassle. That is what this older hotel stands for. You can see how hard Egypt has been hit by the decline in tourist trade. The older hotels, like this one, have to work with smaller budgets but they manage! Everybody...

First impressions of The Zabargad resort are not helped by the scruffy and uncared for facade and even worse the receptions toilets after a drive of some hours. However the resort "grows" on you as you experience the great service and good food. There is also nothing better than sitting at the dive deck bar enjoying a beer at the...

To start off I'd like to say "I don't want you to go there. It's mine, all mine!", but that's just selfish. I'd love this to be my own personal paradise but I'm a realist, not a millionaire, so I need to share it so I can go back again. The Zabargad Berenice Resort is truly a wonderful place to...

My wife and I stayed at the Zabargad Berenice Hotel for a week in June so we could dive with Emperor Divers, who are on site. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and we will probably be returning later in the year. Two things struck us about the hotel upon arrival. Firstly, the hotel was barely half full, perhaps...
