A series of chalets and lodges set high on a hilltop with stunning views of the landscape and especially of Mt Kinabalu. The site of this resort is absolutely stunning. The drive up a very steep, bumpy road is daunting - but when you reach the entrance the lovely gardens unfold and the chalets await in the cool mountain air.... More

Having visited Kinabalu Pines Resort while I was there, I thought Celyn Resort is a better choice in terms of value for money and its amazing view if you choose to stay at Kinabalu wing. But I think it's still ok if you opt for the Valley wing because you would still have a good access to the view with... More

Love the view from the rooms. Rooms are well maintain and comfortable. Food at the cafe was just ok. But just what we were looking for... quiet, cool and relaxing place. The road leading into the resort can be very bumpy. Unfortunately it is public property and the government is not very interested to fix it.

Friends and I stay there for 2 nights, booked 5 rooms total. 3 units were on the top floor (1st floor), and 2 units at the bottom (Ground floor). Clean rooms and all well equipped like hot shower, hair dryer and etc. Staff there are all very friendly and helpful, we even meet the General Manager there and had a... More

My wife booked for a vacation to this resort and we arrived quite late at around 6pm when it's already dark. Settled in and slept at around 8pm after a quick dinner. No much selection from it's only cafe/ restaurant but if the crowd is bigger i would go for their steam boat. Had their Tuaran mee and it actually... More

Like what others have mentioned, whatever shortcomings we felt were mitigated by the significant view of the great Mount Kinabalu. Breakfast was basic, but then even the restaurant is next to the fresh greeneries. Nothing can't beat the feeling of waking up to the mesmerising view, even the clear footsteps of people living on the higher floors walking up and... More

Heard & read about the bad review regarding the road but still i insist my wife to book the hotel, just to have a very beautiful view of Mount Kinabalu. Around 6am to 7am, we were able to view the top of the mountain just from our balcony, no cloud were blocking the view, but have to be fast if... More

Stayed in Celyn Resort Kundasang for two nights in from the 13.9.2013. I was booked into the Kinabalu wing. Didnt realised the significance until the next morning when I opened the balcony door and right in front of us was the full view of the majestic Mt. Kinabalu. Couldnt get a better view. It was clear and no clouds, but... More

We haven't had a vacation for eight months so decided to find a place where we could put our feet up and watch some mountains sipping a cup of nice tea. Celyn resorts matched exactly what we wanted. The room we stayed in had a balcony with a mesmerizing view of mount Kinabalu, which was not as big as the... More
