Rooms a little dated and need thorough clean. Under sink and behind loo etc. Thick in dirt, visible when lying in bath. Pub is lovely setting. Staff were friendly but service slow.. Very limited vegan / vegetarian menus . Run out veggie sausage , 2 options for mains. Seems to cater for meat and fish eaters who will be pleased with specials board

We booked for 2 nights and ended up staying for 3 along with some family menber's who also booked. We stayed in Wallflower, a lovely spacious room with a good sized bathroom. Very clean and comfortable. Plenty of car parking space either outside your room or very close by. We had dinner in the restaurant for 2 of the night's (we were at a wedding the other one, else we would have eaten there again!). The food quality was excellent as was the service. Breakfast was lovely with a good choice. Every member of staff we met could not have been more pleasant and helpful, a really delightful team. Thank you for a memorable stay and we very much hope to return before too long.

Check-in from 3pm was very welcome. Our room was quite large, well-appointed and very comfortable. Very nice bathroom, good shower pressure and nice furniture. The day we stayed was 28degrees, but the room was well insulated and had a large standing fan so we were quite cool enough. The rooms are set back from the pub which makes them a little quieter than most pub b&bs. You have to expect a little noise at 11pm as people come back from the pub, but we hardly heard a thing. It also helps that the pub is on a very very quiet road. I am still giving the inn 5 stars, but the breakfast was not quite the same quality as the food the restaurant put out the night before. The Pub serves wonderful food. But the breakfast was more like what you would get from a supermarket cafe. Perfectly acceptable, but not at all in keeping with the rest of the experience. All the staff we met were very welcoming and attentive.

I visited this evening and just wanted to mention the great friendly service I received. I was the lady sat outside on her own for a few hours before my friend arrived, staff made such an effort to chat, laugh and be attentive. I didn't catch your names, but thankyou. I've been here regularly over the years because of good food and lovely location but good service counts for so much. Keep it up guys!

If Carlsberg did Pub B&B’s this would be it! This is not just a Pub this is a hidden holiday village . Fabulous location, fabulous rooms, fabulous food and most importantly fabulous staff from the Manager down to the cleaning staff - what’s not to like 🤷🏻‍♀️ Highly recommend 5*
