It was so nice to get away from the freeway noise and park among grass and trees. This was a great place compared to some of the other parks we have stayed in recently. We called from the road when our previous planned stop didn't work out. On the Wednesday before Labor Day we were accommodated nicely for our planned...

I was hesitant to make reservations here due to the reviews and now upon arriving found many of the comments wrong or people's expectations are unreasible. Had no problems with reservations and they were very pleasant. Told them I had a big rig, yes it is tight but for an RV Park near the city, but that is expected. I've...

My husband spent over an hour trying to get our 35ft fifth wheel into a very un level downhill site. Luckily for us the people we were camping with could trade us sites. We were unable to put out all of our slide due to the tightness in the sites. Pool was decent but a lot of bees. Saw several...

The total bill for 7 people for three nights was 178 dollars. I do not really mind paying the 178 dollars but would expect better. The full hook up space was a spot on what was basically a gravel parking lot with a few patches of grass. My slide when it was out was inches from the utility connection post....

We brought our Motorhome to Des Moines to attend our granddaughter's graduation from Drake. I made a reservation at Tinberline based on the Good Sam review. The campground is beautiful and well maintained. Camp sites clearly were laid out at a time when RV's didn't have multiple slides. The owners selected a site for us that allowed our MH to...

Was very dissatisfied with the way we were treated. They invoked a cancellation fee on us that was never explained in advance or listed anywhere in their literature / website. Would not send me a confirmation email or respond to questions. Went out of my way to make (2) personal visits to cancel and explain my concern which was dismissed...

Almost cancelled due to negative reviews, however, we stayed during Iowa State Fair, and would have lost $$$. Comfortable park, lots of shady trees, and grass. This area has experienced lots of rain during the summer, so trailer pads (gravel) are somewhat washed out. We thought the host was friendly, and helpful. I thought the negative reviews were unduly harsh...

Great location, horrible people to work with, not level, very narrow and short spots, shade trees but right where your slides need to go out. Can be a mud hole if it rains, they get lots of people who love fire pits, the smoke is pretty bad at times. They discourage credit cards, want cash or check. They do not...

While the campground was very well kept, the sites were very tight. They were also not level. This mattered to us as we are a 5th wheel only spending the night so did not unhook. Everything was going down hill. The spaces had just enough room for the 36 foot 5th wheel and our long bed, double cab pickup. If...

Showers were okay, but very little water pressure. Not very many items available in the "store", compared to most other RV parks. Wasp nest right beside the driver's door of our truck. We mentioned it to them but the wasps were still there when we left 2 or 3 days later. Not sure I would recommend.
