Fantastic!!! Home at the end of the world. In pure nature a very warm auberge not only because of the fireplace. But a fabulous kitchen and a very kind and well informed Anouke. Her advices for hikes, (mountain)biking, trailrunning or just one day walks are great. We will be back!

Gorgeous little Auberge tucked right out of the way in a little hamlet, we arrived after a gruelling day of motorbiking with detour after detour arriving just before dark much later than we anticipated only to find a fabulous friendly welcome by Anouk as she was serving dinner to the other guests, nothing too much trouble. We freshened up and...

We stopped at the Auberge after a grueling hike to the Port d'Salau, which is about 1000 meters above the Auberge. We've twice cycled past the Auberge, but never had a chance to stop. When we did, we spent a delightful time, watching the Tour de France with a bar full of hotel guests, meeting the proprietor (a former Dutch...

We stayed for four nights at the Gite next door to the Auberge, organised by Anouk and Rene. So although we were in a separate building we were still part of their Auberge. It was amazing to see how well run the place was. Anouk and Rene are on the go the whole time, ensuring that their guests have all...

This was our second visit to the auberge. Lovely place, very hospitable and helpful owners, terrific food, no nonsense. Fantastic homebase for hiking and biking in the Pyrenees. Also the three-day individual trekking is a great experience and actually a must. We have been here for 12 days and we enjoyed ourselves every day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with René and Anouk at their very comfortable and clean auberge. They made us very welcome and the food was delicious. It is a lovely area for walking cycling and trail running. We usually go to the Pyrenees every year with the group and also alone and this area certainly was a good destination.

We stayed at 'Les Myrtilles' in early June along with our large walking group, having fully booked the Auberge for the week. Salau is a small hamlet located in a deep valley a few kilometres south of Couflens, and about the same distance from the Spanish border, it is also the last settlement before Spain. The road climbs steeply from...

I visited Les Myrtilles in 2014 and it was great. Eighteen of us went this year, overflowing into the house next door. The rooms are clean and comfortable and well appointed. We had British, French and Dutch amongst our group, and our hosts, René and Anouk were able to welcome everybody in their own language. The food was fabulous with...

With a friend, I recently organized a walking holiday based at Les Myrtilles for a group from our local club in the Quercy district of SW France. Our group counted 18 members in the age range 55-85 years. We were cosseted by Anouk and Rene from beginning to end of our stay. They made us extremely welcome and were most...

A great little hideaway ideally placed for walking in the Pyrenees or exploring the area. Anouk and Renee were wonderful hosts and the food was superb. Nothing was too much trouble for them and their knowledge of the area was excellent. Thoroughly recommend this place for a comfortable stay
