Well to start off. It is a very clean nice place to stay. The owners name is Neil. He is a very nice man. We stayed in the TREETOP SUITE. It was upstairs. It is nice and spacious w/ a bedroom that has a Jacuzzi tub, separate bathroom w/shower, a living room w/chairs and couch that made into a bed... More

I use to live in this small town so I knew about this place although I had never stayed there until recently. The rooms are very nice. My room had a king bed, and a flat screen TV and a work station with wi-fi. The private bath was nice too. The breakfast was adequate and included cereals, muffins, toast, juice... More

We booked through the Kansas B and B association. Booked the place as it stated it had a pool and hot tub on site. Got there and neither of them were working... The place is run down and most of the stuff there isn't working... I would not recommend staying there. We stayed in the treetop suite and it was... More

My husband and I made a point to land at the Hugoton Airport, so that we could tour the Gas & Mining Museum. (Very worthwhile to stop there!) We had reservations with Neal at the Shady Lane and appreciated our short viisit. The accomodations were comfortable and the location quiet. The continental breakfast the next morning was quite sufficient. We... More

Stop over on the way home from Santa Fe. Small salt water pool was relaxing with king beds to fall asleep for a restful night. Neal made accommodations for family of 4 and was very helpful. Great stop!

I visited Hugoton with a large group who had booked Shady Lane during our stay in Hugoton, in conjunction with Sandwell's Outdoors. Neal is a gracious host and everything was clean and comfortable, with GOOD mattresses!

VERY NICE owner! We were traveling through and called up about an hour before arrival and there's only 4 rooms available and we booked the last. We went in, and he gave us a key and we went to our room and it was JUST like visiting a friends home!! We didn't even pay for the room until the next... More

“This BB is on the opposite end of town from the other hotels, so be sure to look for it or ask directions. It is well worth it compared to the other hotels in town.”

“make sure you ask if it actually has a "working" pool and hot tub.... yep, they are there but we didn't get to use them which was a major let down!”
