Super easy parking right by the front door, very friendly and helpful front desk staff, nice lobby with coffee service. Quiet, clean room, good mattress and pillows. It was very cold outside and the room was cozy. Worked the whole time i was there and the wifi was great. Walgreens and grocery store just a couple blocks away. Didn't have...

Yes, it's older and not as fancy as the Microtel down the road but the hotel is very clean, the employees are exceptionally friendly and accomodating and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast wasn't the greatest but it was free and they did their best and then some. Coffee was on all day and very good. The Downtown area and...

As an avid traveler and businessman I found this hotel to have everything I look for in a comfy stay! It was very clean, with comfy beds and adequate furnishings. As for the breakfast......well....it was what one could expect from lodging in this price range. The town it self is historic, beautifully preserved, and a real treat for the history...

My favorite part of this hotel was the indoor pool with waterfall. It was peaceful to sit poolside while eating breakfast. It was even better floating in the pool watching the interplay of lights. The beds were decent. The hotel clean. The staff friendly. The breakfast ok. I will never go back to Kansas after driving through hail linked to...

The room smelled like frebreeze covering up, (not very well) the smell of mold, mildew, smoke?, Smelled like we were in a cellar, or worse but on the second floor. There was a dead spider on the floor in the bathroom, the ceiling was peeling in the bathroom, and the sink didn't work! On top of that, a very uncomfortable...

I was traveling on business and stayed a couple days in June, 2015. A breakfast is included. The main street of Independence is within walking distance and there are several local eateries nearby, as well as a locally owned, fully stocked scrapbook store with Saturday hours and several antique shops. On Saturday morning I visited a farmers market about a...

We were in the area for a funeral and spent very little time at the hotel, but, our room was clean, the pool area was beautiful, and the breakfast buffet was decent. I felt the quality and amenities were totally appropriate for the price.

I occasionally visit Independence to see family and always try to stay at the Apple Tree Inn. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. The breakfast is typical of what you would find at other hotels in this price range. I've never used the pool, but it looks nice enough, although maybe a little dark. I like the...

Clean and relatively convenient. Expensive fees for dogs. Rooms with interior hallways which are dim and carpeted. Dark indoor pool which I never saw in use. Taciturn not cheerful, not helpful and not knowledgeable employees. Rooms with 80's southwestern décor. This place badly needs a facelift. Super 8 and Microtel are both better places to stay.
