We stopped here just for one night on our road trip west to Denver. This is a nice little hotel and it as it advertises itself. It's no frills and is not fancy but it is clean, conveniently located and the front desk staff was...More
This is not a bad place to stay - for the price. The room was large, roomy and mostly comfortable. We even had a full sized refrigerator. Even with all of the lamps that we could get to work the room was still dark.
I have stayed here numerous times over the past several years and have had no complaints. While it's nothing to look at from the outside, the rooms are surprisingly nice, spacious and clean. My last stay was in a room different from the other stays....More
I stayed there with my grandson while attending a Jayhawks basketball game. The room was clean and adequate and economically priced. The hotel is a little way from downtown---at least not walking distance. My grandson who is 22 would have preferred a place a little...More

Sorry to hear about your sister Cheryl. The rooms at this hotel are all outside rooms. Our room was non-smoking, but did have a bit of smell to it. We stayed there with a 2 year old, and we felt very safe at all times. I would recommend calling them and just explaining that you need a room that is non-smoking (and non-smelly!). If you have mobility issues, and need a ground floor room, Ide also ask them about that. But the access to the second floor is via a ramp, not stairs... so that's a bit easier. All the best.
