If you have a chance to stay here, it is well worth it! The ladies took such good care of me! I'm pretty sure there are huge tvs in each room - there isn't cable, but there is a Roku so you can watch Netflix or YouTube, etc. There is a place to work out as well as living rooms... More

Great experience - I would recommend it to everyone who is traveling through the area. The property is beautiful furnished with gorgeous antiques. It has large rooms and up to date bathrooms. The linens and towels are very nice. The staff is amazing! Friendly and helpful. You must check it out!

We stayed there last weekend, for our high school class reunion; same event as mentioned in another review. Our experience was excellent, and the ballroom was perfect for our event. The public spaces are very nicely done, and the rooms are of decent size for an old hotel like this. Our room was furnished with antiques, and the bath was... More

We had our 45th class reunion here. The hotel is beautiful! The downstairs has 2 lovely rooms. One was set up for dining and drinks and the other for a delicious catered meal. The staircase in the lobby is amazing. We didn't stay in the second floor rooms but those who did said they were very nice. So glad that... More

My family was gathering in Marion for my Mother's memorial service last weekend. I found the Historic Elgin Hotel on line and decided to try this a commendation. What a wonderful treat this was for us. Beautiful rooms, delicious breakfasts, helpful staff, and a roomy gathering space for the family. If I am ever in the need to a place... More

We are always on the look out for unique places to stay and The Historical Elgin Hotel definitely fit the criteria. We were welcomed by new owner Tammy who was as kind and sweet as can be. The history and beauty that this B&B holds is phenomenal. We enjoyed a 'no technology' overnight stay although Tv's and Wi-fi were scheduled... More

I did not stay there but others did. This was the location of my son's wedding reception. Beautiful hotel, had a chance to look at hotel rooms and they were lovely. Came back the next morning to finish cleaning up and everyone was eating breakfast. Looked and smelled wonderful!

Built in the late 1800's as a traveling salesmans hotel and retail space and transformed into 33 apartments mid-century. 16 inch thick (or perhaps thicker) limestone shell is a historic landmark. Interior was gutted and rebuilt in the last two decades by new owner. Owner occupies third floor (completely separate with no contact with guests) and rooms are on second... More

We always like to stay at small town B&B when we fly into KC then drive to Wichita. This was fancy small town town that was turned into a B&B after a stint as apartments. We were met by the manager and shown to our room. We were the only ones in the B&B that Thur. night. The room was... More

Our family of five stayed at the Elgin Hotel in April 2014. We felt quite at home. It's gorgeous and their attention to detail did not go unnoticed. It's a beautiful building and our hostess did everything to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was delicious!
