Very friendly and pleasant when we checked in. The room was very clean and nice. Comfortable bed, quiet. We would stay here again. We travel a lot and normally stay in certain chain hotels...I am really glad we tried out 1st Travel Inn!

Like many people, we tend to look for the reliable chains first when looking for places to stay. "Mom and pop" places built decades ago have the reputation (fair or not) of being old, worn down, and dirty. Clear your mind of that pre-conceived notion when considering 1st Travel Inn. This property provides an exceptionally clean, comfortable, no-frills stay. If... More

The man running the inn was very friendly, talkative, and ready to help. The room had all the essentials. Soft bed, cable TV, comfy reading chair, bathroom area, etc. The price is great for the room. It was very quiet since the inn is not right off the main highway, but it's not too far to food or gas station... More

We visited this two story hotel in September, 2015. There isn't any apparent elevator. This older hotel is constructed of brick and block making it stronger and quieter than most others. The walls between rooms are made of block so each room is quiet. The heating and cooling is sophisticated, powerful and very quiet. The hotel and rooms are somewhat... More

I stayed here on Thursday, August 20, 2015. I called from Castle Rock at sundown to reserve my room. When I arrived the owner checked me in. He was very helpful in directing me where to find a late meal, and my room was exceptionally clean. It has some charming mid-century-modern vintage features. The wi-fi worked great. The room was... We stayed on 7/18/2015. The owner checked us in and was polite and friendly. The motel is older but it is in good condition. The room was very clean, comfortable , and quiet. Everything in the room worked, the beds were comfortable. This place is a very good value. I will stay here again if in the area.

The owners very responsive, and the place has been more than clean. It is basic and and price is right. We have stayed here three times traveling from Iowa to NM. Reliable place to stop in the middle of nowhere. The early morning drive towards NM is amazing, full of flickers and hawks.

The 1st Travel Inn is moderately clean with comfortable beds, but has little else to recommend it for the traveler. The rooms are dated, especially regarding the bathroom. We could smell a bit of residual cigarette smoke in our non-smoking room (but thankfully not on the linen), and the bathroom had a faint smell of urine; ughh. We didn't get... More

Night # 2 of our cross country trip from Sedona AZ to Springfield, MA. We chose this hotel based on Tripadvisor reviews, as we were looking for cheap, comfortable and clean. 1st Travel Inn scored on all three. The room was decorated like it was back in the 1960s (weird green/turquoise bathroom and ancient telephone and tv) but it was... More

The motel Is not brand new, but the bed is new enough to be good and the place is spotless. Staff was friendly and helpful. The quiet of being away from the Interstate was really nice. Reasonable price for a satisfactory motel. Use the money you save to go for breakfast at the Colonial Steak House--a bargain.
