This hotel is a gem. Someone restored this with loving care and probably a lot of money. It is one of the better preservation projects I have ever seen. People were friendly, good bar/restaurant and the room was good - stepping back in time. Skip the "inns" on the highway and stay here!

A beautiful historic hotel central located in Kansas. Was only there for a quick night stay, but wish I could have stayed longer. My room & bathroom were on the small side, but being just me it was not a problem. The name kind of gives it away but the hotel is located next to railroad tracks. I didn't hear...

We loved our stay at midland! The history of the building and the town was so interesting. The detail work of the wood and furniture of the hotel was remarkable. We ate in the dining room and they had a 2 for 1 filet minion dinner that was only 23.95. And they accept pets!!! It was all excellent!

You just can't recreate the ambiance and uniqueness of Wilson, Kansas. I love this hotel, with the restaurant/bar in the basement and the staff treats you like family. There are even home made Kolache's on the breakfast bar. The rates are very reasonable and they even allow small dogs in some of the rooms. Plenty of local sites to see...

The Midland Hotel is a prairie gem! I highly recommend it! It is a wonderful historic hotel, nicely remodeled and with lots to do in the area! The jacuzzi room is totally worth it! After a day of adventuring on the plains, soak, soak, soak!

This is an outstanding place to spend a night, the hotel which was the set of Paper Moon, has been restored and it is a great place in a small town to spend a night, the rooms are great and the food is outstanding.

We stopped overnight on a drive to Colorado based on Google reviews. As soon as we pulled up (in the evening) the building was lit up and really pretty. I was happily surprised that the overnight rate was as much as a chain hotel we stayed at the night before where our visit was awful. We got a queen bed...

Great New Year's Eve dinner Wine Celebration, with attention to detail-gold and silver theme--chargers, poinsettias gold and silver, and the explanation of the foods being served and the different types of wine for the foods. Presentation of place settings and decorations - amazing. Midland Railroad is an older historic quaint Hotel and the furnishings are of the period - the...

We have been to the Midland Railroad Hotel three times this fall and have enjoyed each visit immensely. This is a historic hotel in the town of Wilson, Kansas, which is very different than the typical hotel along I-70. It is a jewel. We stayed in room 208, which is a corner room with a King bed and bathroom. We...

What a cool hotel! Originally built in 1899, the 2003 restoration made this charming hotel grand again. Friendly staff, nice rooms, beautiful lobby and good food means we'll be back again for sure. Bonus, world class mountain biking 10 miles away on the Switch Grass trail system at Wilson State Park. If you're making the haul across the prairies, do...
