We live quite close by, near Tunbridge Wells, but decided to splash out as it was out 44th. Where did the time go? We arrived to be told that we had been upgraded to a suite which was a beautiful room. All the staff were attentive, charming and most helpful, from the check in desk to the gardener who found...

The hotel is in a beautiful position with lovely views over rolling Sussex countryside and an excellent golf course. The Tian of Crab was an excellent starter but from then on it went down hill somewhat rapidly. The jug of water provided on the table was so chlorinated it was undrinkable and we had to ask for bottled water. The...

Thank you for your review following your recent lunch at Horsted Place. I do apologise for the delay with your dessert - you are quite right in stating that a piece of equipment had not been turned on, in this case our small deep fat fryer which was needed for your ricotta fritters. An unusual error and we were very...

Our party took over the hotel for a night. Food was excellent, staff were attentive and friendly, plus the ambience is excellent. Our room was very comfortable and spacious with a great view. This is not a complaint, but I was puzzled why there was no bar. However, absolutely no problem in getting drinks.

Thank you so much for this kind review following your recent stay for a wedding at Horsted Place. This lovely house and garden are perfect for a houseparty wedding and we are so pleased you enjoyed it all. Our usual practice is to offer waiter service drinks in traditional country house style throughout the downstairs reception rooms but we put...

We visited for afternoon tea and found it to be plentiful and delicious. Staff were friendly and served us well. We chose to sit outside overlooking the croquet lawn, and we later had a lovely game of croquet before walking around the grounds. The whole afternoon was relaxed, unhurried and a sensible price to pay for a proper afternoon tea...

Traditional English manor house with a refreshingly cozy ambiance in both lounge and restaurant and beautiful floral arrangements throughout. Views of croquet on the back lawns make this a charming affair for birthdays and special occasions. Set menus are decidedly good value at £19.95 for two courses, £24.95 for three and the food is excellent. Recommend

We ate for the first time at Horsted Place last night as part of a large party. Dinner was really excellent. Nobody had a bad word to say about a dish. My friends and I, have had a few afternoon teas in our time, and we all concluded these are the best scones we've ever tasted! They were as light as a feather, slight crunch on the outside, soft and short on the inside, tasted buttery-perfect. We were so thrilled to read this review and to hear how much you enjoyed your visit to Horsted Place. We had lunch at Horsted Place. This Victorian mansion, hidden from the highway, made a charming venue. The food was lovely, in fact delicious. Staff were very friendly and attentive. I dare say we will return. We chose from the set menu; the bill for food and drinks was £40pp.
