Detailed Reviews
If you are in Georgetown, KY I highly recommend Queenslake B&B as you home away from home. The accommodations were wonderful. Our room was spacious and well appointed. Loved the large bathroom. If you are a walker, this house farm offers ample acreage to walk off a big dinner. John and Claire (owners) made us feel most welcome. Hopefully there will be room for us in September. Thanks again, Eileen and Mike.

Claire and John were so laid back you immediately felt welcomed and relaxed! It felt like we just fit into the groove of their family for a short period of time, kids and all. You need to be an animal lover to fully embrace all the happenings of the home.We were delighted we could bring our Golden as we had not travelled with her before.
The room was clean , spacious well decorated and so comfortable! Shower was great with plenty of warm water. The 140 acres were wide open for our exploration, such a beautiful setting to experience in fall!
The breakfast was delicious and all was on our time!Claire easily accommodated a vegetarian option! Staying at Queenslake was completely relaxing and exactly the setting my husband and I needed for our time away. we even learned a little bit about horses and enjoyed the stories of how Queenslake came to be. We will definitely be back!

The owners are very welcoming and the property is beautiful. We had a great time wondering around seeing the horses, pigs, and large pond. Excellent food and tastings only minutes away. Would highly recommend and look forward to going back!

+1
Everything was fantastic! Beautiful room, great breakfast, and a well-cared-for residence. We loved the location in the heart of horse country, a beautiful horse ranch. Claire and John, the owners of the B&B, were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Highly recommend. We will be back :)

Beautiful property and working stable - a real Kentucky horse ranch. It’s the perfect place to stay for visiting the Bourbon Trail and the horse country. It’s only a few minutes from Georgetown, Midway, and the Old Friends Farm. The rooms are large, comfortable, spotless, and well appointed. Delicious breakfast.

We stayed here this summer, and it was a disappointing experience to say the least. The towels were not clean (they had blonde hair on them), the water in the shower was not even warm (it stayed cold for the duration of our stay), and the water was hard and burned both of our eyes. I would not recommend this B&B to anyone.

Our second say at Queenslake, and like the first not disappointed. Lovely location and easy access to Georgetown. Cosy accommodations, and I love the shower. If all goes well, we will be back next September. Forgot, breakfast was wonderful, and nice to have beautiful atmosphere to dine.

Gracious living with very hospitable hosts, delicious breakfasts and gorgeous views! The bedrooms are upstairs, private and very spacious and comfortable. In the early morning, coffee with friends on the back porch is delightful as well as drinks in the evening before going to dinner. The guineas, chickens, ducks, geese and crowing rooster roaming the grounds that all add to the homey, country, relaxing atmosphere of Queenslake. A very enjoyable stay!

This is a restored farmhouse located in between the historic Kentucky cities of Midway and Georgetown in the heart of "horse country." The property is also a sport horse training and boarding facility which adds to its uniqueness. The rooms for the B&B are on the second floor (up a beautiful spiral staircase) and are spacious, comfortable, and completely updated. The bathrooms are similarly remodeled, spacious and thoughtful. Claire Chmela greets her guests (or her husband John does) and offers breakfast "on the guest's schedule." Coffee is always available and my breakfast was absolutely delicious. First there was a yogurt, fresh fruit and granola bowl followed by a fried egg, goat cheese and avocado over toast combination. The menu varies and Claire tries to accommodate your preferences. This is a superior property in every way for a visitor to this neck of the woods. The property is just a few miles north of I-64 and then about a half a mile off the road. You are literally minutes away from Midway and Georgetown and about 45 minutes away for Lexington. I found it quiet, spacious, comfortable and memorable in just about any way. Even the view of the surrounding farmland is something you will never see in a hotel. My most enthusiastic recommendation
