hallways well lit, room was spacious, bed was comfy, I don't care for the pillows they are small and you either have 2 hard ones or 2 soft ones, for someone who uses a cpap mask very hard to get comfortable (bring your own pillows, you'll sleep much better) Refrigerator didn't keep drinks cold, it was cold first morning but when we returned in the afternoon all our drinks were warm.
Stayed at Comfort Suites/Georgetown while we were cycling during the Horsey Hundred, Memorial Day weekend 2022. Everything was great during our stay. The motel was convenient to get to off I75 and to all our events in downtown Georgetown.
Quick stay off the I-75. Room is big. Unfortunately, the hot tub was unavailable during our stay otherwise there were no issues. Breakfast in the morning was typical but good for the 'free breakfast' hotels
Easily the WORST hotel I've stayed in for the last 3 decades. When you walk in, it's very modern and appealing. The staff who welcomed us was very helpful when neither room key opened the door, but she remedied that with new keys and we were on our way. While the hotel pictures were slick and well-staged, that's where it ended when it came to reality. Hard couch, no cushions, one ottoman, no adornments. OK, that's fine, we've been travelling since Atlanta, and really just needed a clean, comfortable place to sleep for the night. After getting some dinner, we returned and were getting ready for bed when I walked into the bathroom and let out a small scream. A ROACH just trotting along the edge of the sink and the wall. If it wasn't late and we were not already in out pajamas, we would have demanded another room. However, if you have one ROACH, you likely have hundreds and hundreds more. There is clearly a roach problem here. After moving everything off the floor and away from the walls, we slept with both the tub drain covered, the bathroom sink drain closed then filled with water, the bathroom light on and the door closed. We were trying to make the best of the situation...until we actually got into bed. What a disaster! The mattress was completely dilapidated and any reasonable establishment would have discarded it years ago. Seriously. If not for the roach concerns, we would have moved to the floor for at least a modicum of support. Absolutely abysmal. When we left unusually early, for obvious reasons, I asked the front desk to have the hotel manager call me immediately upon his arrival. It was a Friday, so I assumed he would actually call first thing, or at least in a timely manner. I also showed the pictures of the roach to the hotel clerk as I left, and indicated that in addition to a roach infestation, the bed was absolutely terrible, the mattress completely crushed and dilapidated, and frankly, we were afraid to eat anything from their kitchen area. When the manager did finally call me, about 1:00 he indicated that the mattress was soft because "disabled people need soft mattresses, and there are no box springs." Well there clearly were box springs, covered in brown material, which I'm guessing were also completely shot. His comment about the roach in our bathroom: "Oh, you discovered the roach infestation." He then went on to let us know he would waive the $25 pet fee, then I could give them a good review. At this point, I would drive 100 miles out of my way to avoid this establishment. Choice should be ashamed.…
Not bad stay just wish had better breakfast selection and bacon overall clean welcoming and peaceful night stay. Also budget friendly if just wanting to rest for the night before heading to destination
the staff was nice, the bed was comfy, the breakfast and coffee was good. Most of all the hotel was nice and clean. the inside pool and hot tub was so nice and relaxing after a long day at the Ark. I would stay here again.
A well maintained hotel. Nice room; full range of appliances, well spread out. Comfortable mattress. Efficient and absolutely quiet (!) A/C. Nice shower head. Rooms and the entire building are very clean throughout. The hotel staff is welcoming and helpful, from the front desk to the custodians and the room maids. A wide variety for breakfast for this chain of hotels; all food was fresh and of good quality. The kitchen staff didn’t rush the guests at the end of service hours; instead, brought in freshly brewed coffee for those who were coming in at the last minute. I’m grateful to the staff and the management for a pleasant stay. Definitely a place to come back, whether traveling solo or with family.
I enjoyed my stay in the Clintwood, Virginia comfort suites 💯! I found the staff to be courteous, friendly and attentive. The complimentary breakfast was top notch. The facility seemed new, tho I was told it was around 10 years old. It’s excellent condition could be a credit to the maintenance supervisor and close attention of the staff. I can not say enough good about my two night stay. The manager was present and involved as she greeted and engaged the guest in the lobby area. I would give five stars to this hotel and its staff. Thanks for a great stay!
This place is one of the nicer Comfort Inns I’ve stayed at. The lobby is welcoming, the staff were very friendly. The rooms were comfy and quiet, plenty of pillows and extra blankets which was nice as my daughter used the couch. Breakfast was good, several protein options which was nice instead of just sugar and white carbs. The attendant was right there making sure there was coffee (weak but ok). The location is close to restaurants and the interstate. 30 minutes from the Ark Encounter. This worked out perfectly for us.
Hotel was adequate, could use just minor room updates, like carpets looked like they need cleaned—As well as sofa in room. Room was spacious though w/nice tv, large desk area as well as a long bench. Convenient to many restaurants & stores as well as close to interstate. Staff friendly.
