I came to the area for events at the Kentucky Speedway, but didn't want to stay with the thousands of others in town for the event. I discovered Poet's House, which is a 15 minute drive from the Speedway on relaxing, scenic roads. The property is historic, yet the individual room I rented was modern and luxurious. I have stayed is historic B&Bs in the past and this is one of the nice ones. I loved the view of the Ohio River. The host David was friendly and the spinach quiche he served for breakfast was delicious.
