Lu' Hotel Maladroxia is a newly refurbished building located a few metres from the beach and within a very short distance from the old Phoenician town of Sant'Antioco, on the homonym Island. The promenade of the small town and its city centre is animated by cafes, restaurants and characteristic shops enriching the natural scenery of a beautiful sandy beach and an outstanding crystal clear sea.

Getting there
Somewhat walkable
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
We booked 1 week at the Lu‘Hotel (due to the many positive comments) at relatively short notice.
In advance we already asked for a “quiet” room. Communication with Gianmarco in this regard was very friendly and customer-oriented, he promised to fulfill our wish.
Unfortunately, we arrived at the hotel very late in the arrival evening as our flight was delayed and we also had to wait a long time to take over the rental car in Cagliari. In addition, there was a severe weather there that day and the road to Sant Antioco dragged on longer due to -severe weather- bad road conditions (still a lot of water on the roads). However, we were warmly welcomed at the hotel late hour by Chiada. Since the restaurant (it was already well after 22:00) had already closed, she organized an excellent antipasti plate and a well-chilled bottle of Sardinian white wine at short notice, which we could enjoy, after the long journey, on our balcony even at a late hour. Thank you again for that, Chiada!
The next morning, as we pulled back the curtains, then the next surprise: the beautiful, unrestricted view -over the balcony - from our room of the rising sun, the sea, the bay of Maladroxia and the entire small place. Top! Gianmarco didn't promise too much! Also to Gianmarco again our heartfelt thanks for this great room!
The two rooms in the 1. OG ( ...the 1. OG is the top “Belle floor” in this hotel, the other floors count down as the hotel was built into a rock) are really excellent. In addition, these two rooms -with sea views- are on the right and left without contact to the neighboring rooms and are accordingly really very, very quiet. Great!!
We can only fully agree with the many positive comments about the hotel, its staff, location, breakfast, restaurant and so on. In the many comments everything is already sufficiently described in this regard.
We were very lucky with the weather (still 25 degrees throughout the day). In addition, the island was already quite quiet from a tourist point of view (it looks much different here in the high season), but that's what we wanted.
The hotel is quiet and is ideal for exploring the small island and the southwest of the “big sister”, a rental car is highly recommended.
Be sure to get tips from the employees: Carloforte, Porto Pino, Porto Flavia, Ghia... they too will be delighted (as we are) and driving here is relaxed and hassle-free.
We highly recommend the Lu’ Hotel Maladroxia and thank the General Manager Omero and his entire team (especially Chiada and Gianmarco of course)!
Please keep everyone going, because friendliness, customer orientation and hospitality are far from being taken for granted in this day and age. Grazie mille... ...until a reunion!!

Sant'Antioco is a perfect cake, at least 10 slices of beaches with beautiful sea, including our Maladroxia. We found the icing on the holiday at the LU' Maladroxia hotel. 10 nights without a problem, fantastic location 2 minutes walk from the beach, the cleanliness of every single part of the hotel, the large, bright, tastefully furnished room, the fresh and complete breakfast (we were in b&b). But what we take home even more is the competence and kindness of every single person on the staff. Smiles, relationships, advice, education. Congratulations, we felt great with you!. Super recommended by Carmen and Maurizio. On your next visit to Sant'Antioco we will be with you again.

Hotel located 2 steps from Maladroxia beach with convenient adjacent parking. Deluxe room with new sea view, spacious, well-kept, equipped with every comfort - being able to see a beautiful sunrise over the sea from the terrace is a nice privilege. Very good cleaning. Buffet breakfasts with both sweet and savoury quality products. Dinner a la carte with the possibility to choose 3 courses with Half Pension, refined dishes, never trivial and generally successful. Good Sardinian wine list. Impeccable staff both at the restaurant and at the reception always smiling, professional, very helpful. Super cozy even with our 2 year old daughter (thanks to Anna in particular). We booked in November the year before at a great price for the quality of the structure.

We stayed at Lu Hotel Maladroxia only 1 night for convenience so we didn't have to leave Cagliari too early to reach the beach the next day. We arrive at about 12.00 and we are immediately given the room (no.301); the room is really small but we knew this from the booking. The room has a French window that immediately gives to a common outdoor sitting area and so we stayed all the time with the shutter down. Fortunately no one stopped in that area at night and we were not disturbed. The cleanliness is impeccable but unfortunately the room has a strong smell of damp and mold initially disguised as closet perfumers. During the day we stopped very little in the room and so we did not pay much attention but at night the smell prevented us from sleeping peacefully. Impossible to change rooms because the hotel was full and the receptionist candidly admitted that that is a room they never sell and therefore it is always closed. He was still gonna report it to whoever. The pool is spotless but there is no supervision and control and therefore from 13.00 to 15.30 3 families with children all related to each other, have placed towels and bags on 6 sunbeds and left, leaving other customers without a place. At 15.30 they returned and between screams, dives, loud laughter, and cries of babies monopolized the pool splashing people who like us were relaxing in the beds disturbing until 17.30 when they finally decided to leave. We went to point out the situation at the reception but they replied that in the pool they do not have to watch and that Anyway they understood very well which family it was (he even gave us the surname of the family that I will not mention for privacy reasons, surname that should not have even mentioned the receptionist). So afternoon of quiet ruined by rude people. Breakfast average, not noteworthy, on two shifts for organizational reasons their (division not mentioned on booking). Honestly for me it could easily be a 3 star hotel; I do not consider it a 4 star hotel but I understand that the location makes the difference. Despite the great inconveniences found, no discounts or benefits (they could for example not charge us € 6 of the two pool towels or offer us a coffee... to name one). Personally I am not sure I would recommend it.

We visited Sardinia by car , traveling from north to south and visited a few towns / places. We stayed here for one night but came with the open mind to extend if we like it. The staff was nice and friendly, especially on the reception and in the bar/ restaurant. We had a room facing a side garden and the room was small but clean and nicely decorated. The only issue with the room we had is the shower is very small - literally struggle to wash hair . What we found disappointing is when we asked if we could have our dinner outside, we were told it’s an extra €50 charge. Sadly , the hotel is remote and there is no real alternative options but to eat in the hotel or another local trattoria. Other option is to go to the town but there was no taxi or Uber , so it was either walk for an hour or so or eat in the hotel . I guess if hotel would offer outside seating without charging extortionate amount of money , more people would eat at the hotel. The food was nice but choices very limited. Also out of 7 hotels we stayed in Sardinia , this was the only hotel where you are not allowed to select your food at breakfast but rather ask a restaurant member of staff to put food on the plate, which created a queue and it wasn’t as enjoyable. We were also served an instant coffee rather than freshly ground and only was served a proper coffee when we said we didn’t like the taste of the first cup. Nevertheless , we left after one night and found another hotel ! The €50 charge for outside sitting changed our desire to stay longer.

A fantastic holiday, starting from the welcome given to us by the General Manager Mr. Homer, extremely professional and kind personally accompanied us to our room 702 a suite with terrace overlooking the bay at 180 ° truly spectacular. All the staff, without exclusion, has proved attentive to the needs of the varied clientele present and has operated with great kindness and always with a smile. A special mention goes to the restaurant worthy of a true 5-star with starred Chef dishes and materials used of the highest quality. Ultimately we could not have asked for more, the promise is that we will return, because Maladroxia, Sant'Antioco and the Lu Hotel, remain in your heart. Thank you.

Very nice hotel, beautiful rooms with all comforts. The staff are super friendly and always available to listen to all customer requests and information. We only stayed one night...unfortunately...but with my wife and son we had a great time. We did not use the swimming pool by choice because with a six year old child we did not want to ruin the relaxation of the guests' holidays and we opted for the umbrellas and sunbeds made available by the hotel on the beach (a two minute walk) of Maladroxia . I highly recommend the property and will return

We stayed in mid-June and it was a wonderful experience. The reception staff is really kind and prepared. We were on holiday for our wedding anniversary and, after finding out, they made us find many rose petals on the bed in the room arranged to form a heart. A detail that pleasantly surprised us, fantastic. The room was comfortable, clean and equipped with everything you would need. All the staff, from reception to the restaurant, are friendly, available to satisfy requests, and very knowledgeable. The hotel is new, it is in an excellent location, the rooms facing the sea have spectacular views! We chose half board. The cuisine is extremely refined, with a fairly varied and refined menu, with decidedly original and out of the ordinary proposals, based mainly on fresh fish. Absolutely recommended, I would love to return.

"The LU' HOTEL MALADROXIA was a real retreat. The room, cozy and clean, immediately made me feel at home. The kitchen was another pleasant surprise: tasty and varied dishes, although I would have liked to find the ox-eye egg included in the breakfast. The flexibility to choose between lunch and dinner was very convenient. But the real added value was the staff, always ready to meet every request with a smile. Mattia, in particular, made my stay even more pleasant with his sympathy and professionalism. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an authentic and relaxing experience."

We stayed at this hotel almost by chance, we found a room at the last minute and it was a real luck, the hotel is in a fabulous location, close to the beach of Maladroxia with a breathtaking view, it is a super well-kept structure with many comforts and services for the customer, I could list many but the thing that most impressed us was the welcome and kindness of the staff, really rare to find such people, a special hug at the reception and the manager, lovely people! I hope to return soon to fully enjoy this wonderful place maybe with a sea view room!! 🥰🥰
