Most of our accommodation is now situated in our beautifully presented barn conversion. The property has a ground floor only with two en-suite bedrooms. There is a communal sitting and dining area where breakfast is also served. Guests are invited to use the adjoining kitchen facilities which comprise fridge, electric cooker and microwave plus utensils, pots and pans and cutlery. There is a third bedroom which may be used in conjunction with the other two for larger, self catering parties. When the barn is full we have an upstairs room in the house mainly for single guest occupancy.

This was our third stay at Orchard House which speaks for itself. Susan is a wonderful and welcoming hostess who takes a real interest in her guests. Again, we had the large lovely, double room with a comfortable big bed and nicely appointed bathroom. The big kitchen/breakfast and sitting room is ideal for relaxing in. There’s even a fridge for guests’ use. The rooms are in a character converted barn which is set in the garden away from the road so is very quiet. It’s only a short walk to the local pub, The Dog, which serves excellent food. Susan provides a delicious, freshly cooked breakfast We strongly recommend this B&B and would happily stay there yet again.

A very enjoyable two night stay. The accommodation was excellent and Susan was the perfect host. Would not hesitate to book again when in that area. Breakfast was quite fantastic despite the calories!

My second visit to Orchard House and for 5 nights this time. As before was greeted with a warm friendly welcome from Susan. Had a clean very comfortable room in the tastefully converted barn. TV, WiFi , water & hairdryer available. There was plenty of hot water and toiletries in the ensuite. A delicious breakfast was cooked to order using local produce and homemade bread and served in the communal kitchen/ diner/ lounge. A variety of teas/coffee and fresh milk were always available. There was plenty of free off road parking. The popular pub, just 2 minutes walk away served excellent meals. Nothing was too much trouble for Susan . I cannot fault Orchard House in any way and I look forward to my next visit.

A beautiful barn conversion. We had a wonderful 2 night stay. Owner,Susan was lovely and attentive. She made an amazing breakfast with homemade bread. Our room was very comfortable and clean. En-suite bathroom with bath and shower. It is in the middle of the countryside and very quiet. With a communal lounge, kitchen, diner, you don't have to go hunting for places to eat. We totally recommend this place if you want a quiet break close to Bury St Edmunds.

Was in the area for a wedding, and stayed a night here. Susan, the owner, couldn't have been more accommodating, even picked me up from my delayed train to get me to the wedding. Lovely room, everything I could need for a night's pit stop. Breakfast was delicious, and Susan made very good company throughout the meal. I would highly recommend to all!

Once again we had a lovely stay at Orchard House. Susan is a very friendly and welcoming hostess. The three B&B bedrooms rooms plus a large sitting/dining room with a kitchen at one end are in the converted barn in the garden behind the house. There’s parking beside the barn. It’s very peaceful and you don’t get any traffic noise. We enjoyed our stay there so much last year that we booked it again for our visit to Suffolk this year. We had the same large bedroom which has a high vaulted ceiling with wonderful beams. There’s a clean, modern ensuite bathroom with shower over the bath. The room has a comfortable, very large bed. We liked having somewhere comfortable to sit and relax in the sitting room before going out to dinner. Susan cooks a delicious breakfast and shows a real interest in her guests. She provides a great B&B at a very reasonable price. This is one of our all-time favourite B&Bs from our several trips to the UK.

We stayed one night.....but soooo wish it had been more! Our room in the converted barn was charming, and very comfortable. The adjoining communal room and kitchen was perfect, and the garden was a lovely bonus which enabled us to sit outside in the sunshine to read the papers. The breakfast next morning was fabulous, with homemade products etc., and Susan was the most perfect hostess. Will most definitely return. Probably the best B&B we've stayed in. Beats any hotel.

We stayed for two nights and it was perfect. We had a room in the barn conversion - lovely high ceiling with old beams, enormous comfortable bed, plenty of room, ensuite bathroom with bath and shower and plenty of hot water. Access to a nice kitchen/diner including a fridge we could use if we wanted to, in room TV, hairdryer, free wifi. The owner, Susan, was friendly and helpful, and made us delicious cooked breakfast, accompanied by homemade bread. Lovely garden, off street parking, easy to find, and nice pub just a couple of minutes down the road.

We stayed at Orchard House for two nights while at a friend's New Year wedding. From first enquiring about booking, the service from Susan, the owner, was fantastic and so very friendly and welcoming. She assured me that a vegetarian cooked breakfast would be no trouble and even offered to take us back to the wedding venue the following day if we wanted to leave our car. Beautiful room with a very comfy bed and everything we could need in a lovely, character barn. Great to have kitchen facilities and the sitting and dining room available during our stay. Breakfast was absolutely delicious - local produce and home made bread and an endless supply of tea. I was quite jealous that bridesmaid duties meant I only got to enjoy breakfast at Orchard House once! Susan's cooked tomatoes were even good enough to convert my tomato hating husband! Thank you Susan for a wonderful stay, we will definitely be back next time we visit the area.
