We are on our way home from a wonderful stay at this resort. From the grounds, amenities, staff, and bar/restaurant…everything was perfect! Complimentary cocktails in the lobby made by the event manager, I didn’t catch her name. An amazing bartender who was so great and friendly, we made sure to tell the manager! And James from New Orleans, the sweetest man at the hotel entrance making sure everyone had a ride and was with a safe and reputable service. He genuinely cares! Our room was clean, the pool area and grounds were beautiful. We can’t wait to bring back our kiddos for a visit to Lexington!

This hotel is very nice. The rooms are a bit smaller then we are use to but we made do. The rooms were cleaned each and every day to perfection. The pool was amazing, clean, and beautiful. Very relaxing and enjoyable with plenty of places to relax. My only complaint was check in was at 4 and our room was not ready until 7 that evening. Additionally, the hotel restaurant was severely under staffed making it hard to get in for a late meal if needed. The waiter we had was great and doing the best he could but food was hard to get timely and some nights could not even get seated.

Just arrived. Every surface is dirty and gross. Every door, every wall, is covered with something that's been there a long time. Elevator buttons require you to use your sleeve or risk getting a virus. Restaurant is full of empty tables where people ate, but no one has bothered to removed the dirty dishes and the smell fills the lobby. The rugs in the lobby haven't been vacuumed in months and are covered with dirt, hair, scraps and garbage. Tile is the lobby hasn't been mopped or cleaned for for some time - actually saw gum that's been there awhile. Rooms smell like bleach - can't get it out. My "gold course view" is a parking lot next to a closed pool with disgusting molded water filling the very bottom. Just a mess, a disappointment, a waste of money and I can't believe this is where I am spending my time off from work.…

The hotel is nice. Spa is fairly priced for a straightforward massage. Ezra was great. Rooms are very comfortable. BUT!!!! Stay away from the pool side of the hotel. In the middle of a week they’ll book events outside with music blaring until 11:30 at night. It’s disruptive and not conducive to relaxation or sleep. With. It s A great room ruined by really loud music. Walls aren’t sound proof and I’m sitting here irritated and frustrated that I can’t get to sleep when I usually would. Petty? Maybe. But nonetheless not what I would have hoped for. 11:30 just feels too late to allow loud music to be playing right outside of guest bedrooms.

This is a great hotel with a great, friendly staff! Everything was wonderful - the accommodations, the food and the service. They have a first-class golf course. I highly recommend that you stay here if you get a chance.

This hotel is simply one of the best I have stayed at in the Marriott family. The rooms are extremely clean and welcoming. The staff are all very nice to the guests and truly treat you like family. We love coming down here to play golf and to enjoy the Lexington experience and this is by far the best option. The golf course and pool area are extremely relaxing and we have never had issues with facilities being in disrepair. We live in Cincinnati so with Lexington being only about 90 minutes away it makes for a great weekend getaway.

I have been staying at the Griffin Gate Marriott for over 30 years. It has always been my favorite, but now the owners have taken all the Kentucky charm out of it. No more Horse pictures in the hallway, no more wonderful gift shop, No more Hot Brown in the Restaurant or Fried Green Tomatoes in the bar. And, the last blow is they did away with the Concierge Lounge. Kentucky, especially Lexington, is horse country. I used to be in the Lounge listening to the horse owners talk about their purchases, etc. With no lounge they will be moving to the hotel across the street which has free breakfast and happy hour. I am a lifetime Marriott member. I am from Kentucky. All Marriotts do not have to be the same. The staff was wonderful. Great Kentucky people. Why ruin this beautiful place by making it ordinary. …

We stayed last night at this beautiful hotel! The staff was incredible, super nice and friendly. My daughter left her favorite special stuffy in the bed (mom fail) didn’t check it upon leaving the room. Called house keeping they found it and is shipping it back to us in Canada!! I can’t believe how kind and quickly responsive they were. They rooms were so clean and the hotel lobby was beautiful. We also stayed last summer on Aug. the outdoor pool and hot tub were beautiful and super clean. Loved everything about this hotel and staff!! I highly recommend this hotel for families or even any event!!! This is my first review ever for a hotel!

Not a very welcoming property. The front desk staff won’t acknowledge your Bonvoy status. No complimentary room upgrade offered and they were clearly low occupancy. I had shoe prints on the bed sheets, dirty windows, drapes that weren’t hanging, who knows what smeared on things, and the toilet seat wasn’t secured. How the heck does the staff miss this stuff?! The food in the restaurant came out cold in the evening and for breakfast. It was a hassle to get the hotel management to follow through with what they said they would do when I brought this up on checkout. They clearly didn’t refurbish the rooms.
