We flew into Louisville over the Indy 500 weekend to experience Louisville and the Bourbon Trail before the race. Found Rocking Horse Manor on TripAdvisor and loved the reviews and description of the property. Arrived late and we were greeted by Ricardo, co-owner of the B&B. A very nice, pleasant man with extensive knowledge of his historic manor. It is...

We stayed three nights whilst attending the Derby. The manor is situated in Old Louisville which has many stately homes but it is also in walking distance of downtown. Ricardo was very helpful in providing information for sightseeing and getting to the Derby. Breakfast was delightful and served at our requested times .The manor is very clean and well maintained...

I was in Louisville for an 11 day business conference at the Convention Center in downtown Louisville. I decided to try staying at a B&B rather than at a downtown hotel. It was one of the best choices I ever made! At this particular conference often I did not know what time I was going to be wanting breakfast the...

We enjoyed our two night stay. The B&B is nicely renovated and has interesting antiques. Our preference is for B&B's that are a little more comfortable and less formal. Decent breakfast and friendly innkeeper. Needs some maintenance/updating (e.g. tub resurfacing, electrical updates, new mattresses.

Such a delight to leave the surrounding street, the modern vehicle that brought us there and then to cross the threshold and step over 100 years back to a time of elegance and opulence. For us, it was magical. Ricardo, our host was a most gracious man and his morning breakfast was delicious - every day! We spent almost a...

My Mum and I stayed 7 night at this beautiful place. We were coming from Europe to Louisville to see Bruce Springsteen's show. At the minute we arrived at the Rocking Horse, Ricardo made us comfortable. The room was very nice and so was the place ! With a remarkable attention to details, everything is clean, the furniture is outstanding...

My wife and I come here every year and the service and accommodations are terrific. Ricardo goes to great lengths to make sure our stay is relaxing. He answers all questions and recommends places to visit. When we first came here a few years ago, I felt a peace I couldn't describe. I told Rusti(girlfriend at the time) that we...

Charming, historic manse located in downtown Louisville with the most hospitable innkeeper, Ricardo. We spent two enjoyable nights in the Selliger Anniversary Suite and cannot wait to return. We highly recommend this establishment. In addition to the building's classic charm and character, the service is impeccable and the two-course home-made gourmet breakfast is sumptuous. Ricardo went above and beyond to...

This was my first experience at a B&B and I could not be happier. We stayed three nights while in Louisville and were so sad to go. The manor has such a rich history and the architecture is absolutely stunning. Furthermore, the price is amazing. This is within walking distance of 4th Street Live and a very short cab or...
