The most lovely historic hotel in Louisville is The Brown! For our 25th Anniversary, my husband and I enjoyed our one night, last minute stay due its convenience and elegance. We were disappointed by the less than hospitable reservation specialist manager and the up-charge (double difference than what I saw online) for a Tuesday night stay due to a conference...

We stayed at the Brown Hotel during a recent family weekend trip to Louisville. It has a distinct old world charm and evokes memories of a bygone era. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated with antique furniture. The breakfast at J Graham's Cafe was great. There was an elaborate Sunday brunch spread. I really liked the lobby bar. It was...

I drove from Chicago to visit Louisville for the first time. My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of staying at one of the most iconic hotels in the immediate area, The Brown Hotel. Past the Brown being home to one of my favorite sandwiches--the Hot Brown--this Classic, impeccably maintained hotel has some of the best accommodations and customer service...

My husband and I came here for a dinner for my birthday. He ordered the hot brown which came out and was delicious. I ordered the hot chicken which came out completely raw. I had to send it back and we ended up splitting his entree. They offered us some dessert but at that point I didn't want anything else...

We stay at the Brown every time we are in Louisville. The hotel is charming and delightful. The rooms are comfortable and classic. The lobby bar is a fun place with an amazing bourbon selection and excellent bartenders, especially John. Almost a year ago, I wrote a review that was glowing except for the restaurant, English Grill. Last night we gave...

Entering the Brown is like taking a step back in time, with elegant furnishings and perfect, attentive service that is rare. The lobby was fabulous; I couldn't help but imagine its life in the 1920's. Our room was charming. And food was also quite delicious. Of course we had to get the famous "Hot Brown", and we loved every bite!

I am a Louisvillian by birth, although I must admit the city's current reputation and guidance are a bit less than pleasurable, but some things NEVER change. One such establishment has persevered floods, sale of the building, recessions, road changes, etc. and continued to produce the epitome of service regardless of the situation. That establishment is the well known Brown...

The Brown Hotel is a beautiful and amazing place that is full of history and grandeur. You HAVE to order a mint julip from the bar and a Hot Brown from the restaurant. They are both excellent and full of tradition. We absolutely loved our stay!
