Lovely historic lobby and rooms. Our Double was very spacious, large closet, large bathroom. The Lobby Lounge was great for drinks and meals, piano player and music. Their signature Brown Derby plate has a history and is pretty good, could easily split the meal between two. If you go visit between end of September and Halloween, try to get advance...

This property is a step into the last century when craftsmen and millionaires combined to erect hotels that were more than just concrete and steel. The rooms were large with a sitting area and sofa (in the least costly space). The bed was comfortable however the linens seemed a bit rough (synthetic?). The bathroom is small - often seen with...

Landed in Louisville and went from the airport to the brown hotel. Got seat immediately and saw a real live five star restaurant. Food was top shelf. Service was top shelf and the people were the best. What a way to start our 7th anniversary.

Absolutely beautiful historic property. Nice sized rooms and good but but not great amenities- the food was good but not great, the bathrooms were more that serviceable but no luxury. I don't have a great sense of Louisville and it was a short trip so i don't have a good sense of the location. Overall all thought the hotel was...

My wife was going to be away for a few months. She was leaving just before Valentines day. We decided to celebrate early by having a night out and staying at the Brown. The Staff was absolutely AMAZING!! The went above and beyond, doing many small extra thing throughout our stay. We ate at the English grill. Again AMAZING staff....

I had a conference here. Overall great experience - the historic aspect cannot be topped. A minor negative is the shower heads are low - I'm 6' tall and the shower head was probably at the level of my mouth. Service was otherwise fantastic. Would definitely return.

The Brown is a Louisville original. Built in 1923, and is still kicking - in a beautiful, elegant manner. Certainly the "Grand Lady" of the downtown hotels. If you like the Palace Theater, you'll LOVE the Brown. Staff were friendly, kind and professional. My room was clean and well appointed. I loved the USB and power station (installed on the...

We spent two night at the Brown Hotel on a recommendation of a co-worker who used to live in Louisville. She didn't steer us wrong. We stayed in an upgraded king room that was comfortable with plenty of room. It was updated but kept the charm of an historic hotel. It was relaxing to sit on the sofa in the...
