The cottages are perched on a hill. Great views, but that is about it! Mountain goats would love this property. Too many stairs to negotiate, especially for older people. No one to greet us, just a scrap of paper with a map and key, then find your own way over numerous stair cases. I am 73 and fell .Too bad...

We stayed here three nights and the first night was truly horrific. It was terribly hot and there was no air conditioning. The small tin-roofed cottages are on the main highway and large trucks barreled through all night making sleep all but impossible. We were very upset. The next evening when we tried to use the barbecue, we discovered it...

Seen from the road, the units that make up the Port Huon Cottages look striking: painted blue and white, with Glen Murkett-inspired curved roofline and walls in wave-like colourbond galvanised iron or other material. The cottages occupy a steeply sloping block, and there are fine stands of bright red roses in the garden. it's a good introduction. Unfortunately, it isn't...

Great little units, fairly new, very clean. Only negatives are that the only places to eat are down the road a bit, ok if you have a car, not so good on a motorbike. There can be a bit of road noise as the units are on the main road through Port Huon, more so in the morning. Units have...

After a slight miss booking by 'what if', things were rectified be owner. Cottage was fine, if a little cosy, 4 in a 1 bed unit. View was great, service friendly and unit well maintained. Recommended but don't book thru 'What If'. Easy access to Tahune Air Walk.

Amazing location, quiet and peaceful by the river, occasional noisy traffic on the road at night but not too disturbing. 2 bedroom cottage was well equipped for a self-catered stay. Very friendly staff and extremely accommodating - even helped with the luggage.

We couldn't get a room in Hobart in New Years Eve, so decided to keep on driving down to Port Huon because these cottages looked so nice. And we weren't disappointed. They had everything we needed, they were clean and comfortable, and the view was so beautiful - especially at sunset. It was so easy to relax and do nothing....

The views from our cottage were idylic overlooking the old port, salmon pens and the yachts riding at anchor. The cottage itself was very comfortable with a separate bedroom and well equipped kitchen. The only complaint was the small TV in the lounge and the old TV in the bedroom that could only pickup one channel. The location is very accessible...

It was a last minute booking as there is not much choice left. But when we were there, we were impressed with the views and the room were far more better then we have expected. The owner is also very help full as we checked in pretty late in the day.

We stayed here for two nights, the view was amazing. We asked for a cabin at the top which was well advised by another trip advisor. This would be especially needed for the elderly as you can park car at top of the road with good access to cabin. Other cabins there is a bit of a walk down concrete...
