I have wanted to visit Paducah since I read about the Artist Relocation Program about 10 years ago. It was fun to stay in lowertown and feel the mystery and melancholy of this old river town. The wabi sabi is leaning toward the sabi but in a sublime way. Sad to see less galleries but fun to see several antique...

The Egg & I was the perfect home away from home for our brief visit to Kentucky. Located within a short walk of historical Paducah, it provided spacious, comfortable lodging, with hospitable hosts. Our breakfast coupons for the coffee shop across the street quite adequately covered our breakfast expenses. The property was for sale, so this great option for the...

This spacious, reasonable, charming, historic, updated, comfortable, immaculate BnB is up for sale, so hurry and stay here while Carol and Steve are still in charge. Your hosts have provided all creature comforts, and the light breakfast across the street at the etcetera coffee shop/restaurant is the perfect compliment to the great night's sleep you'll get. Located within walking distance...

The place was clean and spacious but we were shocked by the overall stingy feeling of this place. The breakfast turned out to be $5.00 vouchers for the small, limited, expensive coffee shop across the street where they charged us for tap water. Don't expect the little niceties typically offered by the standard B &B, the proprietors provided 2 tablespoons...

I am not surprised that Mary wrote and unpleasant review. Her family were not our favorite guests either. She insisted I told her she could use my kitchen (which I don't think I ever agreed to) and then never so much as said "thank you". Her children were undisciplined and she did not like that I reminder her there was...

We were driving around Tennessee and someone suggested a detour to Paducah. We found the website for the Egg and I and booked the room. "room" is not really accurate. It is more like a suite with a living room, two bedrooms and a terrific bathroom. The hosts are interesting and happy to share their knowledge of the town. In...

What a fantastic place to stay. Our suite was 1200 square feet and very comfortable. Carol and Steve, proprietors, could not have been nicer. This B&B is within easy walking distance to downtown. We were there for two nights and didn't use our car once. A great value!! We will be back!!

My husband and I stayed on a Saturday night for our anniversary weekend. Hosts are very accomodating and go out of their way to make you feel "at home". The guest suite was very clean and spacious. The bathroom was fabulous and so was the bed and pillows. We will definitely stay again.
