We often stay at IHG hotels, and this one met all of our requirements. Super clean hotel with plenty of parking, comfortable room, and more. The staff was very professional. The hotel had quiet hours which was appreciated. Breakfast featured scrambled eggs and plenty of other choices. The hotel was off the Interstate quite a bit, but the views along the way of the horse farms made it worth the drive. Definitely would recommend it.
I’ve been here with my wife and dog several times on our way to Nashville for family visits. The rooms have always been clean and comfortable. The hotel is very close to a huge Kroger and multiple restaurants. If you bring your pet you also have a PetCo within walking distance. The breakfasts are good, usually offering omelets, sausage, biscuits and gravy, bagels, toast, yogurt, and pancakes (from a pancake maker. The kids will love it. I’m 37 and geek out over it.) Overall, I’ve had nothing but great experiences here. Highly recommended.
We typically stay at a competitor’s chain (similar price range) by default. However, due to an unexpected change in travel plans we stayed here instead. We were very pleasantly surprised! Liked the amenities, and the staff was very helpful as well. We will definitely add Holiday Inn Express to our repertoire.
We had a great night! Excellent bedroom, very comfy bed, great shower, great amenities and the best: extra clean! Breakfast was a good variety of items including scrambled eggs with sausages and a delicious warm cinnamon roll! Recommended!
My review title sums it up….nice hotel but, paper thin walls. My wife and I checked into the HIX with no issues. The front desk clerk was efficient but, not friendly….just going through the motions. We were pleased that our room was ready and even more so once we entered the room. Being a newer hotel we expected things to be clean and in excellent shape…..we were not disappointed. The room and bath were both very clean, spacious and well kept. Seeing the room reassured us that we had made an excellent choice for the nights lodging. After freshening up, we went out for the evening and returned to a quiet well kept hotel which is where this review should’ve ended. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the end of our evening as I was awakened at 12:30am to a couple arguing loudly in the hall (which my wife was able to sleep through). These things happen sometimes when staying in hotels so, since they quieted down after 10 minutes or so, I did not call the front desk (but, did assume someone else may have???) and went back to sleep. Then to interrupt my sleep again (and my wife’s this time) at 2:30am we were both awakened by loud moaning and explicit “dirty talk” as the same couple, now in the room next to us, were clearly having “make-up sex” and weren’t being shy about it! This happened again around 4:00am just to a lesser extent. We’re all adults and we know what couples do but, the fact that it can be heard so clearly between rooms is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!! Holiday Inn Express clearly decided to save money on soundproofing the rooms so unless you’re a very heavy sleeper or enjoy hearing the things I’ve mentioned you may want to stay elsewhere. This is unfortunate because it really is a nice hotel with comfortable rooms….even our view was nice. A little extra soundproofing and I’d be giving a 4-star review instead of a 2-star.…
The hotel was easy to find and check in was easy The lobby appeared covid compliant. staff wore masks and there was a plexiglas shield at the desk The room was clean and we got the requested room room lighting was good. I liked the roll up/down blackout shades. much better than curtains. The TV was large and had a good number of channels The bed was comfortable and clean There were enough outlets and USB ports The bathroom was big and clean The air conditioner worked fine. The hotel was quiet. Many amenities were not available such as pool, gym, and hot breakfast. They did have some grab and go stuff which is better than nothing, but not a lot. overall a fine hotel for a short stay on the road
Great place to stay and good area. Hotel was nice and very clean. The staff was very friendly and absolutely a pleasure to deal with. We would definitely recommend this hotel and come back again. Definitely impressed.
Read what ever you want but this place has a house keeping problem. Housekeeping to make service easier will open dead bolt but forget to close and leave your room unlocked. Room wasn't serviced one day. Had to get towels from front desk. Breakfast never changes. Downstairs bathrooms go days without cleaning and were filthy. Check in is an adventure and time consuming. Front desk is often unmanned. Great location and great potential but not up to Holiday Inn standards.
I had high hopes for this location as the hotel itself is new construction. Upon entering the hotel we were greeted nicely at the front counter and we where able to enter our room. The room was clean and everything seemed new and up to date. The next day(Saturday) my family and I went out to visit some distilleries. Came back around 445pm to find our rooms had not been touched. Garbage was not emptied and the towels on the floor were still there. I over heard some of the cleaning staff say they were short staffed. Being in retail myself I understand these situations happen and I understand. I stopped the maids in the hallway and told them if they don't get the bed done no big deal but we need towels and the shampoo taken care of. We went to dinner and got back around 8pm only to find no towels and no shampoo. It would appear our weekend was a bit better than other guests who checked in that day and not have their room ready even when they returned from a wedding after 8pm. I was there in the lobby when those poor folks were trying to get into their room. Aside from the service/staff issues, the staff was very friendly in my interactions. I will note the walls in the hotel are very thin. We easily hear conversations in adjoining rooms as well as other "activities." You may want to bring a white noise machine with you and keep that in mind when engaging in those "activities" yourself. I did not use the pool/hot tub or other facilities in the hotel so I'm unable to comment on those things. Breakfast was simple, nothing extravagant but not bad either.…
Newer property, super clean, spacious, nice mattresses and pillows. Not far from Keeneland race track. Highly recommend. Love the chaise lounge in the room. Could be a sleep spot for a small person. Versailles is a nice place to stay in the outskirts of Lexington
