The hotel was cleaned and updated. Overall my experience was ok. The biggest issue we had was being told shortly after we checked in that the hotel was out of towels. My family of 4 was forced to figure out showering and sharing only enough towels for 3. I would have easily packed towels if I had known. Also someone in our party was ticketed in the self-parking lot for a parking violation. We parked in self parking before checking in as there was no where closer to park. This individual immediately registered for self-parking upon arrival and went to put her luggage in her room first. By the time she returned to the vehicle maybe an hour later with the parking decal she had been ticketed.

My return to business travel after 15 months took me to this hotel in downtown Baton Route. And I have to say, all was good. The room was clean, spacious and the furnishings up-to-date. There was excellent and unusually strong/bright light over the bed conducive to reading, which I loved. There is a free-standing Starbucks immediately adjacent to the hotel property that can be accessed via an interior entrance – score! The staff was pleasant. The hotel is 2 blocks from the Mississippi River which has fantastic views. The business downtown area is a bit sleepy but there are dining options and some museums. All was good with the Courtyard Marriott in downtown Baton Rouge – great job!

We booked this place off hotel.com for right at 100 a night for two queen beds. We checked reviews on trip advisor and it seemed pretty positive, we so glad we did! We were here on a Monday night so we found easy street parking and did not need to use the $25 valet parking. Area seemed safe with lots of dining options close. We checked in with Joe and he verified my ID before processing payment which I appreciated. (He was wearing a mask) He asked us if we wanted a higher floor number for a better view, no extra charge. Lobby was big and clean, two elevators made getting to the 8th floor a snap. Our room was great-clean, modern, and decorated tastefully with a Louisiana flare! Beds were very comfortable. Fridge and microwave in the room. View from the 8th floor is great! Bathroom is good size with nice tea tree shampoo/conditioner. We are very happy we chose this place to stay!
