The Holly Bush Inn is about a 20 minute drive from Kielder Observatory, pretty much the same road all the way there too. As such, it's in a perfect location for stargazers and visitors to Kielder Water. The Inn itself had a crackling fire in the bar, with a nice mix of locals and tourists chatting away - a nice...

We stayed here on the 20th of December as we were visiting Kielder Observatory. Overall I was a little underwhelmed with The Holly Bush Inn. The building itself was full of character but unfortunately the decor didn't really feel in keeping with the building (this is personal preference I know). There was a large bottle of soap in the bathroom...

Check in was easy, staff really friendly and helpful, free wifi throughout which was fast and performed flawlessly, green room in the Blacksmiths cottage next door was warm, cosy and comfortable with fantastic double shower enclosure, breakfast and evening meals...

I had three very good nights at the Holly Bush while working up in the Forest - a really pleasant little B&B with great decor and excellent food in the evenings! The staff were very obliging in preparing a breakfast tray for an early start (even if 7.30 is not that early!)

We stayed 2 nights at the stargazer apartment and it was lovely. Very spacious and little touches such as a torch were a lovely thought. Incredibly peaceful and the views are amazing, can't wait to go back.

Visiting Kielder observatory with my girlfriend, after looking for somewhere convenient to stay for the night, stumbled across the Holly Bush Inn - handy location, reasonable price and good reviews. Paid £95 B&B to stay in the Green Room for the night - arrived a little later than intended which meant a quick check in and then down for dinner...

we stayed here whilst visiting Kielder observatory. Stayed in the Grey room which held three adults comfortably. Cozy room, excellent powerful shower (good after a late night/early morning) and great bar meals. Recommended!
