When I arrived at the hotel the entire property was fenced off by an 8 foot hurricane fence. The hotel was closed. Could not even pull into the parking lot. It is advertised as open. Took quiet some time for reimbursement of funds. Every big hotel rental company is allowing bookings because the hotel company has not made anyone aware of the closing.
Anna at the front desk had an amazon personality, she is always welcome to help and try's to make things operate as smooth as possible. She was also the agent on my last visit back in February and her personality has not changed. I could not give enough recommendations Anna's hospitality. She is definitely a asset to this hotel and with friendly service like that I will continue to come back to stay when in town.
Visited on June 12 nice hotel nice location 6 min from the casino not enough parking if you move you lose walking distance to restaurants the only bad thing is the whole hotel smell wet and moldly very over powering nice rooms 50in tv HBO ECT would vist again
When I first walked in I was greeted by Anna, she was warm and very welcoming. Our room was clean and put together nicely. The breakfast was good, could of been alittle warmer (but had a microwave). The parking was kinda hard, but great overall experience.
Room # 108 First the good - Delisa, the desk attendant, Awesome excellent, personable and helpful. Helped me out with a deposit that they require when you pay for with cash. Great customer service. Next the annoying - nothing mentioned prior to arrival about a deposit being required for paying cash. They are holding my gas money and most of what I needed to eat on so its been lean. Next, the breakfast - average for a buffet breakfast, but hot and tasted fine. Furniture in the dining area was worn. Clean area to eat in, nice staff who made sure to greet you. Room - 106, 108, very close to the elevator and lobby. Ask for one upstairs and away from the front if you need to go to sleep early. Average maintenance - surfaces of the TV stand, night stands, bathroom counter had spots on them and werent clean. Not utterly gross but indifferently attended to - cleaned up with the disinfectant wipes I carry when I travel. Not filthy, just not polished. Bathroom was fairly clean, shower curtain torn, shower rod mostly attached to the wall but that may change soon. Strong air freshener in room, simply unplugged when it got too strong. Several decent places to eat nearby. Id stay here again with the caveats mentioned above.…
I want to Thank Anna at the front desk for her kindness, She is above all the sweetest person I meet while I stayed in Lake Charles. She went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was as comfortable as possible. I would defiantly stay here again. Thank you Anna your kindness does go unnoticed.
Decided to come to Lake Charles over a weekend and so glad I picked this hotel. It was only 12,000 Choice points a night so I decided to try it. When I walked in, Delisa at the front desk immediately welcomed me and asked how she could help. Check in was fast and very friendly and she even recommended a place for dinner, which was absolutely wonderful. The rooms are clean and roomy with nice size televisions. The hotel is convenient to everything including the casinos (5min), mall (3min) and all kinds of restaurants. This is definitely my new spot when visiting Lake Charles. Thank you Delisa and the entire staff for doing what you do. It does not go unnoticed.
The front desk is very different. The carpet in hall ways had many large spots. The room very clean but who ever made repairs was sloppy. good pillows. Breakfast needs upgrade, the have was average and eggs poor as usual. needs butter for waffles. The chairs in the breakfast are were the poorest I have ever seen. Torn covering sure cut into the feeling if clean. Breakfast items of low frozen quality. When the air conditioner came on it shook the room. The fan in the bathroom could wake up the people on the floor it was so loud.
Anna at the front desk, was very helpful in helping me find a room location that would work with my breathing issues. The location was perfect! Immediately after that, the General Manager (Sylvia) loaded my luggage onto a luggage cart and rolled it down to my room while I drove around to park my car. The room was comfortable, clean, and everything in it worked. It wasn't soundproof, and I wouldn't expect it to be, but there was very little noise coming from outside the room. Breakfast the next morning was good, although there was a little wait for some of the food. I believe they were short-handed that morning, but Domini hustled about trying to determine what it was that people were waiting for, and trying to provide things in that order. During breakfast the General Manager went around to all the guests asking how their stay was. The whole time I was there I felt like the employees were very concerned about my comfort and convenience. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.…
The staff was excellent and very helpful. They accommodated us at the last minute on a very busy weekend for the area. It was a holiday weekend. In addition, there were many events in the surrounding area. Hot breakfast in the morning was great.
