The location was great because of close proximity to casinos which is why we chose it, first room we were given had mold on the ceiling and in shower and smelled terrible, we were moved to different room. This room had no visible mold but still smelled of mold. We checked availability at other hotels but there was nothing available so we had to stay there, my wife talked to manager and were told that they are starting a full renovation so hopefully all of this will be resolved. We may give this hotel another try after the renovation
Stayed here for 3 nights and this hotel is in need of a SERIOUS deep cleaning and refresh. Our bed pillows were stained and smelled like mold (ended up washing the pillow covers and doubling over the stained pillows), the shower pan was lined with mold, the rooms always felt humid no matter how low the A/C was set, there was no proper fan to vent the bathrooms from the shower steam (explains the warped paint on the walls), the metal legs/feet on the bathroom vanity are rusted, the curtains were covered in questionable stains and the smoke detector was covered in a thick layer of dust. Just to make being in there manageable, aside from wiping/spraying everything down with Lysol we purchased a couple of air fresheners and opened the window (opens a few inches or so) to vent the room as much as we could. On top of all of that, we were met with a new terrible odor each day we stepped into the hallways. …
Marriott in name only. It’s bad, smells like a kennel, 1/2 the lights in room don’t work, air conditioner does not work properly and the whole place is shabby. Although staff members “make a note” for the issues neither maintenance or hiusekeeping ever shows up…. I really cannot believe Marriott has not pulled the franchise. It’s really bad…
We’ve been Marriott reward members for 25+ years. This hotel did not come close to meeting Marriott standards. The toilet had a ring in it, there was a big red stain on the carpet and it was damp and moldy. On top of that we were charged a $100 pet fee. My dog was cleaner than the room. It was the worst experience I have ever had in a hotel room and Marriott should address these issues.
Marriott brand should have higher standards than this. Ceiling in bathroom black mold, probably due to the fact the room temp would never drop below 75 and not pull the humidity out. Maintenance came and tinkered with the AC and that didn't help at all.... Marriott franchisee needs to fix the AC so the room will cool! Additionally, PILLOWS need to be firmer... need a very firm pillow option.... Positives... the hotel was quite and beds comfortable
Within the 5 rooms we had, here are some of the problems... - roaches in drawers - roaches in bed - lipstick on pillows - blood on sheets - ac didn’t work 78 degrees low as it got - no towels - keys didn’t work - dirty, sweaty smell in pillows - random shoe and cup in room The rooms obviously have not been cleaned in a long time.
Pros: Comfy bed, clean, good a/c, plumbing worked. Cons: Only 1 towel for a family of 4 booked into a double queen room. When we asked the fromt desk, the lady told us that was the standard. No more towels could be issues. One towel?? Really??
Currently staying as a guest and going on day 9 with no hot water, made several attempts to ask front desk when they expected the issue to be corrected just to be told they are waiting on a Marriott plumber when you do catch somebody as they hide in the back office. Waited 20 minutes for somebody to acknowledge me as I was trying to check-in. Constantly hear other guest complaining about staff and issues not being handled. Room was dirty. Only half the lights have light bulbs. Once a find a new Hotel that will accommodate my extended stay in the area, I will be contacting State and Local officials in regards to this hotel not providing the minimal standards for bathrooms under the health and building codes for commercial structures used by the hospitality industry.
If I reviewed based only on first impressions, I would have given "Terrible". The front desk lady was as rude as I have ever seen in any of my 150+ hotel stays in the last 12 months. If I didn't have my travel-weary family with me on this trip, I would have cancelled immediately and sought arrangements elsewhere. That being said, the hotel was clean, comfortable and convenient. However, while my interactions with some of the staff the rest of the week was improved compared to my initial visit, they all need to be trained in the art of Marriott Customer Service or replaced.
We were having hot water problems our entire stay and the older lady at the desk Noel was no help at all and didn’t seem like she wanted to help us with that problem . Management was nowhere to be found and didn’t even want to issue me a refund for the inconvenience.
