This was the second time I stayed in Lake Charles for an extended stay on business. I really wanted to get a hotel that would be comfortable and have the amenities I wanted. I was referred to Alicia (bookings manager) and she was more than happy to assist us (a crew of 4). I was able to reserve the rooms with no hassle or a bunch of back and forth. Check in was very fast and smooth for all of the 4 crew arriving at different times. All the hotel staff I dealt with were very accommodating. I mostly dealt with Marlene Jessica and Wendelyn. But Everyone was great. The dryers at some hotels I stay at don't fully dry your clothes in one cycle, the dryers here fully dried everything every time (including thick heavy weight clothing) They also have several counter appliances for you to use if you need them. You are also close to many of the better restaurants. The room cleaning was on time and they also made sure anyone on night shift had their room cleaned as well without needed to get up early (this was a huge help). I definitely recommend staying at this hotel and getting in touch with Alicia for reservations. I'll be staying here again!

Hotel's Favourite
We had a block of 23 rooms for our son's wedding and the hotel was fantastic. Alicia was very helpful coordinating the room block and keeping me informed of the status of the rooms. She is so friendly and easy to work with. She definitely made it easier and feels like a friend now. All of the staff was wonderful during our entire stay. The front desk was fast to respond to any of our needs and they went above and beyond to make us comfortable. The hotel is spotless and nicely decorated.
The layout of the hotel is perfect for large groups. We were able to gather with family and friends without feeling like we were intrusive to anyone. The lobby is very accommodating with many tables and chairs perfect for breakfast and card games. The front area of the hotel was comfortable with outdoor couches and a firetable which was great for the evenings. The pool area has 2 gas grills which we used to have an informal welcome reception for our out of town family and guests. We loaded up coolers, grilled hamburgers/hot dogs and enjoyed the patio. We even brought in 30 lbs of crawfish from Contrband Crawfish and everyone was able to sample some Louisiana cuisine.
We thoroughly enjoyed about our week stay at Home 2 Suites Lake Charles. It was perfect!!!

We stopped in on our way back and forth across the country for the holiday. The room was nice and clean. Very comfortable. The big surprise was the breakfast bowls available for breakfast. The person running the breakfast area was very helpful in reviewing ingredients to ensure we stayed safe. The bowl was delicious, pretty sure it was actual real eggs in there. Yummy. We will definitely be back.

I stay in hotels all across the country for work and this is one of my favorites. The staff that works here goes above and beyond to help make my stay as comfortable as possible. They’re always welcoming and friendly when I go through the lobby, making sure I don’t need any water or have anything they can toss out for me. I also work nights and am always asleep during regular housekeeping hours. I was getting ready for work (3hrs after they’re done for the day) and I got a knock at the door and it was a housekeeper named Kayla. She informed me she stayed late to be able to clean my room and not wake me. She was so very polite and friendly, I actually stayed in the room talking about the area and all the storms that have damaged so much of the area over the years. Will always stay here when I’m in town and will make a point to tell everyone else who comes to do the same. Thank you Home2Suites staff.

I've been staying at this hotel every week since the beginning of September, and will continue to do so until January. The hotel itself is one of the cleanest places I've stayed at. The outside is well lit in part by their own lighting and in part by the other hotels that are here. That also makes this place feel safe as there is always some form of foot traffic going in and out and never feels abandon and unsecure.
Hands down the most friendly and helpful staff I've run into. Everyone I've had the pleasure of dealing with has been very helpful and happy to do so. Krystal in particular has been a gem of an individual and has been a lifesaver multiple times over by going above and beyond to help me settle issues. Kathy with the morning breakfast setup has been super nice and also gone out of her way to please me with different options for breakfast.
There are two downsides to staying at this hotel though. The first of which is being addressed as we speak, and that is the slow internet speeds, even the "premium" internet maxing out at 15 Mbs. The free internet tops out at an abysmal 3 Mbs. The hotel is currently working on their network to improve these speeds, or so they say. The second issue I've experienced since being here is the water pressure. The water pressure is almost non-existent. Staying on the 4th floor is akin to showering in a mister.
They do have a pool, gym, laundry service, and just about all the other amenities many come to expect from a hotel of this caliber, and I cannot comment on them as I have not taken the time to use these facilities.

There’s a lot of hotels in the same parking area and next to each other down the same road. Good location and restaurants nearby. The lobby is neat with a foosball table which was nice for my daughter. Overall the room itself is way too small. The bathroom and areas around the bed do not have adequate space. There no closet you hang your clothes on a rod on the flat wall. The floors tend to have a yucky feel to them and our shower had multiple pieces of hair at the bottom of it. The bottom looked to have not been cleaned properly in a month or more. Overall the cleanliness of the room was not on par for what it should be with white everywhere. The beds are soft if you like that. The view from the backside of the hotel is nice. I recommend staying on the top floor. We specifically asked for a quiet room because we have two kids, one of them is an infant. The hotel put people across the hall with a dog that continued to bark until midnight.

Hotel reopened after repairs from hurricane. Staff at all levels were on their “A” game and made my stay very comfortable. Rooms and facilities were very clean and service was excellent. They even had someone wiping down surfaces, elevator doors/buttons, door handles all day long keeping clean during these COVID times.

My husband and I travel quite frequently for business, and the Hilton chain are always our choice for accommodations. Out of all of our stays, this location has always been my favorite for the most friendly staff! They always warmly welcome all guests and do whatever they can to accommodate your needs. I wish I could have their service throughout the rest of the Country! They keep the front entry spotless even in the Louisiana wet weather. I am always happy to stay here, and I never have to worry about a disappointing stay! Thank you for being an amazing stay in Lake Charles!

This was our first stay with Home 2 Suites. From the moment we walked in until the moment we left, it was nothing but pleasant. Sammy greeted us as soon as we walked through the door. Her attitude and service will make anyone's stay great. There were about 100 people downstairs between the pool, lobby, and the front fire pit on a Saturday night. Sammy worked her tail off keeping everyone happy and doing it with a smile the entire time. She is an asset to your business.
The location is perfect. There are a lot of restaurants and shops nearby. The Golden Nugget and Labeurge are less than 5 minutes away. We were in for a baseball tournament from Texas and the Power Center complex is less than 10 minutes away.
If you have kids, pay the extra $10 or so to upgrade to the suite with a separate bedroom. It is a ton of extra space and the kids get their own room and TV.
Even on the way out Monday morning the management was just as friendly and appreciative, making me realize that whether we are in for baseball or gambling, we will stay at this Home 2 Suites.

If it wasn't for Tesra, we would've left the property the first night. We stayed for 6 nights at this property. Our original room was oddly laid out, and way too big, for two people. The room was wide and the beds were far from the television. We were informed that the room (129) was one that was requested all the time. I can see that from a family with children, or dogs (yes, the room smelled like wet dog from the moment we opened the door) but not for us. Thanks to Tesra, she moved us to room 401 which was much better for us.
The lock on room 401 didn't work after the first time we opened it. We have experienced that before in Home2's so we knew it was the battery that needed to be replaced. We called Tesra and she sent maintenance up immediately. For the next two times we opened the door it worked, then it stopped again. Tesra said maintenance would be working on the door in the morning. Since we were going to sleep anyway, it didn't matter except maintenance was at the door at 7:15 a.m. after waking us up by room telephone at 7 a.m. Completely and totally unacceptable.
The next three days our room was lightly cleaned with the original bedding still in place. Towels were replaced and so forth but not the fourth night. It was still dirty when we came back from being out. Days five and six we had cleaning which was appreciated as we were paying good money to stay in that hotel for six nights.
Breakfast was below average considering other Home2's. I guess we are spoiled from the Orlando area hotels which always add extras, smoothies, etc. This Home2 only had the microwavable sandwiches and eggs, waffles, and a little fruit. I guess for the area that's all anyone expects but that's too bad as other Hilton hotels offer great breakfast.
The front desk personnel were excellent and friendly. The workout room and laundry facilities were all in working order and clean but for everything else we encountered, it was just an average hotel overall.

I am a Hilton honors member. Last time I remember they are not charging cancellation fees due to COVID-19.
Unfortunately at this time, there is no running shuttle from our location to the hotel.
