Stayed here 5 nights with my family over new years. The woman at the front desk was miserable and not at all welcoming. It was earlier than check in time and we had been driving for 2 dsys so we were pleased our room was available. The room was modern and clean on arrival. Bed is comfortable but pillows are not and we didn't sleep well because of it. Our room was not cleaned the whole time we stayed. One day the housekeeping staff said they were busy and couldn't get to it and took the garbage and exchanged some towels. She didn't have enough and said she would be back with the rest. She never came back. We had to call guest services later on to bring towels. I asked her to sweep the floor or give me the broom and I would do it....it was in desperate need of a cleaning. She spot swept it very quickly which did not do the job. The next day it was different housekeeping staff. This person made 1 bed and exchanged a few towels that's it. The bathroom sink and toilet were in need of a cleaning which was not done and the floor was poorly swept. We asked for more towels and were told she didn't have any and would be back in 15 mins. Never showed up. We had 1 hand towel, 1 face cloth and no bathmat for 3 people. The toilet had a ring around the bowl when we arrived and still had it when we left. A little bleach and a brush would get rid of it. The shower door didn't close properly and the shower head was too big and sprayed everywhere. You couldn't take a shower without the water going all over the floor. That's something I could live with but the housekeeping service needs major improvement. Either they don't have enough staff to make sure they take the time to do a proper job or the staff are very lazy. Maybe it's a bit of both. I think this hotel is great for a one night stay but not for any longer than that.

My spouse and I last stayed at this property in January 2023. The rooms look to be renovated as in room carpet has been replaced with wood flooring.

Housekeeping needs improvement. Our microwave interior was dirty and the floor in the toilet room had dirt under sliding barn type door visible when the door is closed.

The breakfast was lacking in that there were no scrambled eggs or waffle machine offered. Only hot food was pork sausage patties and Marriott 2.0 Breakfast sandwich which is terrible. Hot oatmeal was available.

Marriott needs to improve their breakfast offerings as Wyndham is better in this regard.

We stayed one night at this hotel and really enjoyed it. The room was exceptionally clean and everything worked. The hotel was very quiet at night and we were right next to the elevator. Excellent beds and pillows ! It was nice having the shower separated from the toilet area. The breakfast was really quite good and we met a very nice employee named Janissa in the breakfast area. She pointed out a couple of things to do in the area that we will certainly do next time. Love Marriott and especially this property.

1 elevator, waiting lines to use the single elevator. Our room was not cleaned well at all! After driving 10.5hrs we just wanted to take showers, only to find out we had 1 dirty towel in a room with 2 queens and one double bed(2adults, 3kids).We called front desk and were told we would need to come downstairs to get “extra towels”, I reiterated that we had NO towels, we did not need extra, we needed them to bring the towels that should have been in our room. She stayed persistent, arguing that it was our responsibility to come down to the front desk and get them ourselves. Despite the pure frustration I put my mask and shoes on and headed downstairs, waiting forever for the elevator. After returning to our room and the family getting their showers, we proceeded to get the beds ready only to find out we were missing sheets and blanket for the pull out couch. Once again we repeated the same scenario once again and ended up going back down to the front desk and waiting for our blankets that should have been in the room. This establishment is poorly ran and poorly maintained. After questioning the front desk lady that didn’t seem to care whether we were satisfied with our stay or not, her reasoning was people quit because of Covid. Seems to me they need to close their doors until they have the proper staff to sanitize and protect the guests paying them to stay here. Looks like they are just capitalizing on a brand without providing even remotely decent service! Go somewhere else!!!

The only really good thing to say about the hotel is that the staff was friendly and great to work with during our stay. The ladies who prepared the breakfast worked hard to keep the area clean for all the guests.
In our room (430) we had several maintenance issues--shower door leaked and was hard to close, inside door of shower room was missing and in the water closet a screw was in the wall denoting a missing towel rack. Donald promptly came to fix the problems after we reported our list to the front desk. He was not able to fix the shower door so when we showered there was a puddle on the floor extending into the bedroom. We had to use one of our three towels to clean up the water.
The bathroom floors were dirty when we arrived. I travel with wipes so I was able to clean them up. It looked like just the center of the rooms were cleaned leaving a five inch border of dirt. This made me question the cleanliness of the entire room.
The bed was one of the most uncomfortable beds I have had in a Marriott property. I gave the linens a 2. The sofa/trundle bed may have been great to sleep on but it was very uncomfortable to sit on as was the desk chair.
There are busy/noisy roads on both sides of the property.
There was only one ice machine working.

This place is disgusting and in such disrepair. The floor was disgusting and turned our socks and soles of feet black. There was food and stains all over the futon mattress so we were unable to use it. Missing door handles to the bathroom. Broken and missing light bulbs. Shower doors were caked with soap scum. I can't believe they are a 4 star hotel. Let's not forget the NOISE, they are directly off the interstate and have taken zero measure to try to alleviate the sound pollution. Room also had NO SOAP because they are unable to get any in 'die to covid".... I'm pretty sure their preferred vendors aren't the only ones that sell soap. To provide NONE what so ever is senseless and lazy.

Because of Covid I did not have access to a lot of the amenities. But overall it is an overall nice/clean hotel. It’s location is very close to the casinos, shopping, and restaurants. If you’re planning to go to the casinos this would be a good less expensive option.

We had a trip planned to Lake Charles to visit friends. She became ill and we have to reschedule the trip. I called to cancel the morning of the arrival and the girl at the desk said their local office policy is 48 hours. No refund, no offer to reschedule us, nothing but “thank you”, and hang up.

We stay at Springhill all over the southern states. And we have never encountered this. As a Marriott loyal customer and loyalty member, this is very bad. We will never stay there again. $205 per night was already high, but we felt worth it compared to the other options. Bad policy. Greedy management and ownership.

Stay elsewhere.

If you're thinking about staying here, RUN, don't walk, away! Rooms were marginally clean, staff was absent most of the time, and no manager to be found at the property. When we checked in, the desk agent was on the telephone with a personal call, and never ended her personal conversation. She handed us keys without ever saying a word to us!
The worst experience was waking up to find our room in inch-deep water. Our slippers were soaked and we couldn't get to the bathroom without wading through water. When we tried to call the front desk for assistance, there was no answer. After 15 minutes of trying to call for help, my husband went downstairs to find 2 people standing at the front desk with no agent in sight. When he returned to the room, we waited more than 45 minutes for assistance to arrive, and I had to call Marriott Bonvoy to get their help getting someone from the hotel to respond.
When it was finally determined that the problem could not be fixed, the Marriott representative told me that we would get a new room. My husband had to slosh through the water again to go downstairs and get the new keys. He was told that there was no cart available and no one to assist us with the move.
I asked to speak to a manager and was told that no manager would be available until Monday, which was 3 days after we checked out. What a joke! This was our first, and most assuredly our last stay at SpringHills Suites.

Booked online while visiting overnight. Pros: Check-in on 3rd floor was easy, staff friendly, room and facilities very clean. Snacks and drinks including beer/wine for sale at desk kiosk, morning coffee, cereals, juices. Cons: uncomfortable flat pillows and horrendous I-210 traffic noise late into night, beginning early morning. Not a place I will choose again due to noise.
