I spend many nights at Marriott properties (100+) a year. This property is lacking in several areas. 1. Only 2 bath towels in suite vs 3 at other Marriott properties. 2. Peeling ceiling paint above shower in bathroom. 3. Mattress sagging and uncomfortable. 4. No scrambled eggs or breakfast meats available at breakfast. 5. Housekeeping workers constantly yelling in hallways.
Cleanliness: 10 Quietness: 10 Room size: 10 Breakfast: 10 Shower Pressure: 9 Our stay was perfect except for ONE THING. There weren't enough large towels in the shower. There should never be fewer than (3) when 2 adults are in the room. In this case there were only 2. Otherwise the staff was friendly and helpful, the lobby was very inviting and the gym was nice as well.
Great place 5 minutes from the casinos at half the price. Friendly staff and clean comfortable rooms. Breakfast is good to get you going for a day of adventure. Pick a room with an even number if possible.
Mrs. Michelle and Mrs. J were so supportive and accommodating to our basketball team while we visited. They made sure we were well taken care of and continued to wish us luck during our entire stay. One of the best hotels we’ve been too this season as well!
This place is disgusting and in such disrepair. The floor was disgusting and turned our socks and soles of feet black. There was food and stains all over the futon mattress so we were unable to use it. Missing door handles to the bathroom. Broken and missing light bulbs. Shower doors were caked with soap scum. I can't believe they are a 4 star hotel. Let's not forget the NOISE, they are directly off the interstate and have taken zero measure to try to alleviate the sound pollution. Room also had NO SOAP because they are unable to get any in 'die to covid".... I'm pretty sure their preferred vendors aren't the only ones that sell soap. To provide NONE what so ever is senseless and lazy.
Booked online while visiting overnight. Pros: Check-in on 3rd floor was easy, staff friendly, room and facilities very clean. Snacks and drinks including beer/wine for sale at desk kiosk, morning coffee, cereals, juices. Cons: uncomfortable flat pillows and horrendous I-210 traffic noise late into night, beginning early morning. Not a place I will choose again due to noise.
My family stayed here five nights recently for my son's baseball tourney. We found all the employees friendly and usually with a smile on their faces. Check-in was easy and our room was clean upon arrival. There are just a couple of things that kept me from giving this a five rating. First, neither of the dryers were working in the hotel, which meant that we needed to go to a local laundrymat to wash and dry our clothes. Also, my husband thought that the office desk chair in the room was extremely uncomfortable and a little worn. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and we would definitely stay here again.
We had a trip planned to Lake Charles to visit friends. She became ill and we have to reschedule the trip. I called to cancel the morning of the arrival and the girl at the desk said their local office policy is 48 hours. No refund, no offer to reschedule us, nothing but “thank you”, and hang up. We stay at Springhill all over the southern states. And we have never encountered this. As a Marriott loyal customer and loyalty member, this is very bad. We will never stay there again. $205 per night was already high, but we felt worth it compared to the other options. Bad policy. Greedy management and ownership. Stay elsewhere.
The hotel meet our expectations for Marriott quality and cleanliness . Staff was friendly and courteous. Room was large, clean, and quiet. Hotel served there pre pandemic breakfast. Parking was more than adequate. On the down side the AC was noisy and bed was very soft.
If you're thinking about staying here, RUN, don't walk, away! Rooms were marginally clean, staff was absent most of the time, and no manager to be found at the property. When we checked in, the desk agent was on the telephone with a personal call, and never ended her personal conversation. She handed us keys without ever saying a word to us! The worst experience was waking up to find our room in inch-deep water. Our slippers were soaked and we couldn't get to the bathroom without wading through water. When we tried to call the front desk for assistance, there was no answer. After 15 minutes of trying to call for help, my husband went downstairs to find 2 people standing at the front desk with no agent in sight. When he returned to the room, we waited more than 45 minutes for assistance to arrive, and I had to call Marriott Bonvoy to get their help getting someone from the hotel to respond. When it was finally determined that the problem could not be fixed, the Marriott representative told me that we would get a new room. My husband had to slosh through the water again to go downstairs and get the new keys. He was told that there was no cart available and no one to assist us with the move. I asked to speak to a manager and was told that no manager would be available until Monday, which was 3 days after we checked out. What a joke! This was our first, and most assuredly our last stay at SpringHills Suites.…
