I’m from Texas and let me start by saying this was a Horrible stay. Not only did the room have roaches but I have two emotional support services dogs and one is a husky who is vocal at times. The staff complained to the front desk that they were scared of dogs. There were no other guests on our floor so when I tried to extend my stay the lady at the front desk denied me saying “ guest are scared to come out of their rooms and we’re scared of your dogs”. All they did was bark. The lady was antagonizing one of my dogs and when my dog started to bark at her she played victim. My card was then charged $100 each for both dogs because she DECIDED they weren’t service animals even though I have proof.
Con: In a word... Sketchy. Pro: In a "phrase": Bed slept good and sheets seemed clean. Other: Pretty sure was a drug dealer in the parking lot in an old caddy all night booming music. Was there all night and at 7AM the next morning still in the parking lot and still booming. Room was poor condition. We won't return unless desperate.
Very clean and comfortable. Staff was excellent. Seems a bit dated, coffee machine which was excellent good quality coffe machine wasn't working which staff replaced when I called the front desk. Real hot breakfast with a few options was a nice add on. Otherwise, everything else was great.
This hotel is definitely not quality. I have used this hotel several times over the years and I rated it a 3, now is gets a 1. The shower doors had so much residue you could not see inside. The mirror was black, the tub was dirty and stained. The towels were dirty and stained. The walls had peeling paint. I saw 2 roaches I'm praying I didn't bring any home. The only compliment I can give is the sheets were clean. Ceiling fan blades were coved with a thick layer of dust. The only good thing about breakfast was the coffee.
I have to admit at first reading all the reviews I was a bit skeptical after I booked two nights, but my experience was grera aftwe all! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left! Staff was awesome, we fit early check in and front desk was extremely accommodating. I loved the fact they gave me my room early!! Room was nice and clean perhaps dated but nothing like the reviews mention. Hotel is generally in good condition and Staff is very on top of things.
Rundown! The most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed. It was so filthy I got severe allergies. The bed/mattress had ants. The jacuzzi/shower was rusty and filthy. The sofa had stains. The rolling chair on the desk was full with pieces falling from the ceilings. The ceiling on top of shower almost fell on me.
What a wonderful place I stayed in very comfortable beds and great staff they treated me very good. I recommend this hotel to all of my friends and family. The hot breakfast is always great especially the biscuits with gravy!
Property is on the lake and very centrally located, super friendly staff and large rooms! The exercise room is small and limited but you can workout and make things happen. The hotel is undergoing a renovation and it seem like they are freshening up the rooms and flooring. Breakfast was great with a large spread and many options.
We enjoyed our stay here on our recent visit to Lake Charles. The room itself was a bit aged (carpet and finishes). The service was exemplary and made up for the outdated rooms and carpet. We stayed with kids and the staff were kid friendly. Seems like they are pet friendly as well as I saw a women with a puppy in the hall way. A special shout out to the girl who coordinated breakfast in the morning, which was fabulous and ensured that we were well taken care of. The location is the best and very centrally located close to the lake and park.
QUALITY Suites is a misnomer. So much was wrong — the hall carpet was so crusty with dirt and stains it crunched when you walked on it, the room wreaked of Fabulosa cleaner so much it got in my clothes, air conditioning vent had mold growing in it, toilet paper holder was missing from the wall, and I had to pull the coffee table to the desk to be able to sit at it since the desk chair was missing. Beware, if you book through the Quality Suite website you are actually using a third party booking company so that when you have a problem with the payment the front desk will not help. I expected more quality for the $120 per night I paid. The water pressure and shower head was good and the key card worked quickly and consistently.
