Be aware that although these have kitchenettes, they do NOT have anything in them. You will need to provide everything including pots, paper towels, utensils, etc. They also don't have ice machines or extra pillows. It is what you might expect for the price...absolutely the bare minimum. The staff was very apologetic and nice!

Very spartan room, but very clean. No closet, hair dryer or iron. Kitchenette has no utensils. Staff is only available during business hours. Room was in good condition. All of the appliances worked well and were clean. Nice parking lot with quick access to the freeway.

Though we had booked a different hotel, we saw Value Place with a large sign advertising $89 rooms. Though it was tricky to get to the hotel, we were informed the $89 was only Sun. thru Thurs. We got a room for $99 and were told it would be $113 with taxes. We agreed. As we were booking, we heard some one complaining that the rooms only had full size beds. They demanded their money back. Luckily we still fit in a full size so we were fine. Room was clean. I sprayed a little Febreeze and it was perfect. Small frig, microwave and great for our 1-day stay. All sorts of shopping and restaurants nearby. The young man didn't want to bill us for our room until checkout. Next day, we checked out and saw our bill was over $126. Of course no one seemed to know who the male guy was from the day before and no one could "explain" why he told us the room would cost $99 plus tax totaling $113. We argued that we were lied to and demanded to speak to the manager. Long story short, we were promised to get a $13 refund soon. Haven't seen it yet but if we don't get it, i'll post something here. I had read about this hotel possibly overcharging your credit cards so I was reluctant to use mine. My better half used his so now he is dealing with the overcharge. I know, $13 doesn't seem like much but it was the principle. $13 from me, $16 from another unsuspecting guest and perhaps $52 from someone staying for an entire week. I just don't like dishonesty.

McKenzie the hotel attendant was very professional and courteous, she explained everything thouroughly and the check in was quick. The room was clean and the kitchen and refrigerator were a great added addition, overall pleasant experience, definitely recommend.

I had the worst Hotel experiment ever, I thank that it is family oriented. To many people and kids hanging at the front desk entrees, the rude receptionist or manager with the B.C. Egyptian fan eyelashes need to take customer service communication classes. The elevator make a lot of noise, the room smells like pot, and cigarettes smoke. Good thing I take my own towels, pillow and quilts in case I see stains on the bed or sheets. I couldn't take it so I took a lost and checked out and went to a little more expensive Hotel were they had free breakfast, coffee maker, Iron /board, bigger room /king bed, USB plugs, hair dryer, cleaner halls and rooms and better customer service.

The bathroom smelled like pee has been on the floor for years! This hotel sucks! Do not count on the front desk to be available they will never help you!!!! I hate it here always have it’s just the only place you can find in lake Charles with reasonable price

The lady at the front was the only good thing about this experience. This is a nasty hotel. Dirty! The vents had stuff caped on them. There was no blankets on the bed or in the room so I stayed cold. The halls stayed filled with weed smells. The carpet in the hall has trash in the floors. The bathroom floor looked rotted. The water pressure was horrible. Not a great area either. Regret this decision dearly! Never again! Spend a little more too not subject yourself to this garbage of a hotel.

I checked into WoodSpring Suites expecting a clean room and at least the typical basic hotel services such as making up/cleaning the room (as advertised), decent Wi-Fi, taking out the trash, changing sheets twice a week, and a clean room, safe property. I stayed two weeks and although I asked the front desk several times to make up/clean my room - no one came. The room went two weeks without cleaning or being made up except by me! When I asked about having someone take out the trash at least, the front desk manager said to take it out myself (which I refused to do)! I had to go and get my own new linens, make my own bed, etc. Wi-Fi had a good signal but was totally useless as far as connecting to anything. There were also small roaches in the room (likely from trash building up in all the rooms since that was apparently self service). I would not recommend anyone to stay here - it is definitely worth spending a few extra bucks to stay at an extended stay that provides at least the basic services you expect when lodging.

They only recently began daily rentals. No clerk is on site at night. We found the place to be severely lacking in amenities for what is supposed to be a $79 room. No hand towels, no lamp for reading, no coffee available, only one small bar of soap for two people, etc., It was obvious they have theft problems with the weekly clients and suspect everyone. My wife and I are 71 years old, and we each had to produce a picture ID. I wish we had gone to a Motel 6.

I needed to quickly move to a new city for a job. Value Place is an excellent choice, but the price is a little on the steep side. My monthly bill came out to $1246.14 (you pay weekly). This included a bed, table, two chairs, stove top, microwave, fridge, bi-weekly cleaning, a/c, cable and HBO. I wasn't sold on the price, but for the what it was worth, I enjoyed my stay. The staff is friendly and the facilities are new and clean. For the most part, it was quiet too.

Thank you for having thought of the Woodspring Suites Lake Charles for your stay. One of the advantages as to why many people are looking to stay at our hotel is thanks to our convenient and safe location. Although there is no on site security you will find yourself to feel safe as many of our guests do. Our location is near the casinos, shopping and restaurants for your convenience. It will be an honor to have you as our guest and if you need extra help any of our staff members would be more then happy to assist you.
