Staff was awesomely nice and welcoming…..BUT 2 rooms we had were old and dirty, spots on the floor, bathroom needed a deep cleaning, water spots and rust on bathroom faucets, microwave and refrigerator were dirty on inside. Me and hubby had to clean both rooms. We only stayed for 1 night luckily. Breakfast was good and staff made sure breakfast bar was clean.

This is what $230 per night gets you. We stayed on June 23, 2023 in room 202. The hallway was hot & stuffy like no AC was on. The chair in the room was absolutely filthy, and completely crusted with stain after stain after stain. There was a bench at the end of the bed that had multiple droplet type stains and I can only imagine where those disgusting stains came from. These stains were not from one or two stays. These stains are from multiple stays over months or even years. My husband went down and spoke to the evening manager. Her only solution was to have us check out and go stay somewhere else… Seriously?!? There was no offer to clean or even remove the stain filled furniture. It’s embarrassing that they think it’s OK to present this kind of furniture to paying guests. I spoke to the manager in the morning and she was apologetic, but offered the excuse that they are planning on renovating their rooms soon. That’s no excuse to have such filthy furniture. I feel like I would’ve got a clean her room at Motel 6. Also the coffee maker was dirty and missing the part that you put the coffee grounds in.

As an extended stay guest in this property, I enjoyed the ambient and the hospitality of all the staff. Most of the time I worked 5 days a week out of my room, and I experienced no inconvenient. Highly recommended.

My husband is working in lake Charles for 6 weeks and staying at Hampton inn off of holly hill road. I came to stay the weekend with him and found this hotel to be superb and the staff to be the most kindest group we have experienced in our past 5 years of all his travels around America. I was greeted by every staff member with a hello and a smile. We stayed on the 4th floor and the housekeepers were very thoughtful when helping us decide what to do around the lake. They are proud of their hard work keeping this hotel one of the cleanest we’ve been in in many years. I want to say thank you for all their hard work and passion in their hotel that welcome so many families to this wonderful city. Thank you. Thank you.

Quick trip to a Lake Charles and we’ve stayed here many times in the past but this is the first time we’ve had a bed that was so hard that we had trouble sleeping. I actually woke in the middle of the night sore on one side. We also didn’t have a soap dispenser in the bathroom (the bracket was there) and no bar soap. The front desk clerk was nice but I couldn’t get a late check out, which is part of the AARP discount, because they were sold out the next day. On a good note, the AC worked well as it was so chilly for a good nights sleep (if it weren’t for the extra firm mattresses). Front desk clerk: at checkout; was very nice and it was a quick and easy checkout. I have mixed feelings about this stay. They still operate the casino shuttle but only certain days and only 5-10pm.

The good: All of the people I interacted with were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was above average. Same offerings as most Hamptons, but the eggs were much tastier and had a great, not chewy texture. My bed was comfortable, and the linens smelled and looked fresh. The climate controls work well and ran quietly. The area feels safe and is very convenient, but this is one of many hotels clustered together. There have to be better options here. The bad: The rooms that I stayed in were by far the most beat up of any Hampton Inn I have ever stayed in. My first room had really awful stains on both the desk and straight-backed chairs. I put a towel over the desk chair when I had to sit down. The bathtub tile on the wall was stained and looked like it needed cleaning. The wall next to the vanity had little reddish brown speckles that looked to me like dried blood. It smelled a little musty, and there was no bath mat for the shower. All the furniture was beat up with the finish knocked off in multiple places. The night manager was nice enough to move me to a second room when I complained. This was better but not great. The furniture in this room was still beat up. The straight-backed chair was stained, but much less than the other room, and office chair was leatherette and looked fine. I had a bath mat but no clock. The room fridge froze solid my water bottle and leftovers overnight. There was no obvious way to adjust the temperature. When I called the front desk to ask how to fix it, she guided me over the phone to pull the whole unit out of the cabinet to reach the control on the back of refrigerator. It is kind of heavy, of course, and the whole back half was covered in a thick layer of dust. Not only was that kind of gross, but it indicates that the setting has been set to freeze for a while. There was also lots of dust under the bathroom vanity, which I discovered when a toiletry fell off. And the bathtub drain was slow. When my room key de magnetized, as they do, the front desk clerk, who I had never seen before gave me a new one with no ID. Yipes. And the lighting in my room was so dim that I struggled to see well enough to iron my shirt.

Room was fine except for many items including router unplugged. Desk lamp broken. There is obviously no checking of the rooms other than by a busy room cleaner whose main job is changing linens. (At least I hope they were changed.)

This place is horrible. Do not stay here. Stayed at Christmas and they had no water. Did not tell us this when we checked in. We checked out a day earlier and ruined our Christmas stay. Unapologetic and had the gall to try to change us full rate. Had to ask for cut rate and they only knocked off $35. Hilton was no help either. Staff was uninformed and acted like it was no big deal. Couldn’t use toilet, sink or shower.

I am sorry about the issues you experienced during your stay. Due to the freezing conditions there was intermitent water issues and outages for the entire Lake Charles area as the city addressed the pipes around the city. I am very sorry that this affected your stay so negatively and that this issue happened to the area. We strive to ensure that our guests happy with their stay. Unfortunately this issue stood in the way of that. We tried to convey information the best we could with the information we received from local government. I assure you that we will grow from this experience and hopeflly will not have to ever experience anything like it again.

This was a wonderful stay. The hotel is located in a safe area with several nearby restaurants, shopping, & minutes from the casinos. The room was immaculate & the beds were very comfortable. Last but not least, the ladies at the front desk were very friendly upon check in & helped resolved our internet issue. We will definitely stay at this particular Hampton Inn during our next visit to Lake Charles!
