The worst service and hospitality of any hotel i have ever stayed at! The manager, shanice is extremely unprofessional and Seth that works at the front desk was unprofessional and rude! I would NEVER recommend this hotel! It is also not very clean!
We arrived around 9:00 PM and were cordially greeted and checked in promptly, We later came to learn that the front desk clerk was a fairly new hire, but you couldn't tell. Her check in process was flawless. The hotel was clean, including the lobby, the elevator, hallways and the room. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast the next morning featured a variety of hot entrees. I would have liked to have seen a pot of oatmeal available instead of the instant cups. It was a nice change of pace to have breakfast served on a china plate versus the Styrofoam that we typically get. Check out was likewise prompt. We felt safe and secure there. Shopping was available across the street if you needed anything. All in all, I would return to this facility in a heartbeat.
My friends and I came to stay at this hotel we came all the way from Houston to come see the casino .. so we decided to stay at this hotel .. they charged way more than expected first the total they said was 290 for a 1 room 2 bed and a pull out sofa then when I give them my card to put it on file when checking in they took $360 saying the $290 was without taxes and that it still needed to be added plus a fee of deposit which was like $20 dollars total with the taxes came out to $354 and they said they “round up” so they took $360 and mind you I was explained this after my stay and I was checking out I got my receipt . After we check out we decide to get something to eat near by the breakfast there was terrible.. and the pool is so little it’s literally a square where only like 4-5 people fit in . Then we decide to stop and get food near by the hotel and I get a notification on my bank app that $250 was taken from my account after I had already checked out and I go back to the hotel and they tell me that we smoked in the room when we didn’t ! I even told them that if we did the smoke detectors would have gone off they were working they have a red light blinking . And she swears we smoked in there and that it smelled like “cigarettes and weëd “ she said if y’all want to smoke y’all can do it but outside and that’s what we did yes we smoke cigarettes but we smoked them outside never did we smoke inside the hotel even the night before the guy had told us the policies he specifically said no smoking so we asked for extra key cards so we can be able to go outside at night because we even asked what time the doors close for the hotel he said at 11 so he said if we smoke we can be going outside and that we just use the key card to come in so we had 5 people in that one room . 2 couples and a friend sleeping in the couch 5 people total in one room . If we all smoke outside our clothes smell after smoking so we come inside and the smell is still going to be on us it’s 5 people in one room. And once we left they decided to charge me and she proceeded to say it’s a cleaning fee charge because I told her we did not smoke inside that was there ever any ashes found or proof that we smoked inside ? Mind you we went to the casino too ir smells like smoke inside as well we were there for hours the smell sticks to you too . I even told her to check the cameras what time we arrived at night and you can clearly see if she checks the cameras us standing outside by the door smoking our cigarettes.. I told her then it’s not a smoking fee cause we didn’t smoke she said well then it’s a “cleaning fee “ and didn’t want to remove the fee. If im getting charged at this point I should of just smoked inside then .. it’s not fair honestly . All of us 5 were standing infront of them and we all literally said we didn’t smoke inside and it’s not like we planned it on the way back to the hotel to see why I was being charged cause when I got charged the $250 I didn’t know what that charge was even for cause they don’t explain or even bother to call before taking the fee out . They just take it out and if you don’t go back to see why they won’t explain or call or anything .…
Pros: comfy king bed, super friendly front office staff, large room with kitchen. All amenities-toaster, coffee maker, dishes, even salt, pepper, sugar etc. Cons: only con was an excessive amount of road noise which was the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. If you’re on the even side you shouldn’t have a problem.
This one is a notch above your average Residence Inn. It’s fairly new with the new style rooms. Lots of stuff around it and has a sister property next door that has a bar too. I stay here often when passing through Lake Charles and it’s easy to get in and out and avoids the traffic around the I-10 bridge.
We booked at the last minute and got stuck here. To our surprise it was the perfect place! We were greeted with smiling faces when we walked it and just kept getting better. The room was like a small apartment nice amenities.
Nice Residence Inn in Lake Charles. Feels new, clean and nicely equipped throughout. Good location just off the interstate and close to many restaurants, Wal Mart, Target, etc. Staff very friendly and provide excellent service, especially during the breakfast. This would be an ideal place for an extended stay.
We had a great stay this weekend at Residence Inn. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Slept great! Loved the free shuttle service to and from the casinos. Restaurants and store are nearby. Also, breakfast selection was great! Will definitely recommend this place if you are going to Lake Charles!
I'm not sure what was going on in Lake Charles this particular weekend but the room rates were $175/night. I booked a room using points and it was still 25k points a night. The check-in process was fine. The staff was nice and cordial. At first glance the property looks likes. Even the room seemed fine until I got to the restroom. We had a handicap accessible room. The floors looked very dirty and stained. If they were obviously dirty, it made me wonder about the things that could not be easily noticed. I would have been extremely upset had I paid $175 for this room.
Upon entering the hotel I was greeted by Mrs Gigi at the front desk. She was very professional and friendly. My room was clean bed was comfortable and breakfast was delicious for hotel breakfast I’ll definitely be staying again.
