The king suite was clean and comfortable with plenty of space to spread out. I typically stick to Choice brand hotels when I can and have discovered that the Comfort brand usually suits my needs the best out of their various levels of options. This one did not disappoint.

We were tired and ready to relax when we reached this place. We are Choice members, so we do like to stay where we can earn points. This place needs help. A roach joined me in the shower. The toilet paper holder was falling apart. There was duct tape on the threshold into the bathroom. There was a worm in the oatmeal in the morning. We opened the packet and poured it into the bowl only to find one of the little worm like creatures that you sometimes find in flour. I told the front desk and got little reaction. When I went back to check out, I noticed all the oatmeal packets had been removed and the same front desk lady told me she had contacted the owner. With an already limited breakfast offering, what is available should be fresh. I appreciated that she addressed the problem, though.

1- Made reservations 2 hours prior to arrival via cell when family driving on road vacation 2- Request was for Hampton Inn, which was full. ( Utilized Trip Advisor review for selection) 3- Did not understand (hear) reservation desk was 3rd party agent ( Please, check this out before you reserve a room, in the future) 4- As always, call says ‘call maybe recorded for quality purposes ( really hope so, in this case)’ 5- Agent then stated he could get rooms at close local hotels and began giving data on Comfort Inn. However I was hesitant to agree as I had not researched Trip Advisor Reviews or area, which I stated to agent! Agent stated numerous times it was a good quality hotel Had conversation on Bluetooth in car so family of 4 adults listening.) Agent continued aggressive push to reserve. Sadly, I finally agreed. 6- Then agent required credit card full payment in advance, which was different from other hotels. I stated, was not comfortable with this, as I might not like the cleanliness of the facility! Once again sadly, ( I believe pressured) agreed. 7- Arrived at hotel to lobby, lacking attention. Older facility with notice on door windows to pardon mess as updates in progress. (saw none), another notice for smoke free facility. 8- Gave it a chance went to room walked in to obviously a smoking room. Gray duct tape on carpet to hold it down, toilet lid up, ( indicating, to me recently used), floors squeezed as I was walking out of room and down hallway to lobby to request refund ! 9- Front desk personal/ manager (via phone) unavailable to grant request for refund of ~$437 rather referring to 3 rd party sales company! 10- Contacted this company who refused to refund money! So, review- made reservations 2 hours before arrival, never moved personal items in room, hotel not full with other rooms available to guest! 11- I’ve stayed at other Comfort Inns in travels and had good experiences, but this was beyond irritating for quality company to treat customers in this manner. Hopefully this review will help others avoid our issues. Needless to say, I REALLY hope my conversation with agent recorded and, of course, I’ve contacted my bank.

The person that checked me into the property was very customer friendly. In fact, each individual that I came in contact with at the front desk, was very, very customer friendly. The room was very nice. I didn't expect to have a sofa, coffee table, and a desk. The room was spacious, and also included a microwave and fridge. The FREE breakfast was a hot breakfast that was very pleasing. The food preparer was very hospitable. The location of the hotel was easily accessible. The location provided easy access to Baton Rouge, without having to be in "the heart of" city.

Room Tip: The ground floor is a great choice. No need to bother with the elevator or stairs.

Property looked nice from outside and in lobby. Room was large with extremely comfortable bed. Was smoke free however, when I walked in I stepped on a cigarette butt in the middle of the bedroom which made me wonder when it had been vacuumed. There were no USB ports available. The cover was missing from the smoke detector which gave me pause to consider whether it worked. The shower was awesome with good pressure and a nice shower head however the tub floor was weak and dipped as I walked on it. The vent fan cover was pulled away from the ceiling and a washcloth stuck between the cover and ceiling. Apparently there was a condensation leak as the wash cloth was full and water dripping from it to the toilet seat. When I tried to pull the hair dryer out of the wall unit the entire unit came off the wall. Breakfast was hot and edible.
