The RV park is behind the motel. Check-in at the motel office was courteous and friendly. There was some confusion after we set up. Another RVer showed up and said we were in their site. He wasn’t happy that we wouldn’t move but it wasn’t our mistake. The person that checked us in accidentally put us in the wrong site. Oh well. Mostly long term but their sites are neat and tidy. The interior roads and sites are concrete which is great. They could be a bit wider and longer. We had to park the toad in extra parking as it wouldn’t fit in the site. There was also a picnic table on a concrete pad. Out pull thru site was mostly level – it was just a bit low in the back. There is decent spacing between sites but no privacy. The water spigot is insulated, and the sewer is in a recessed concrete space which is nice. They are very specific about how the sewer hose is placed – it is not allowed on the grass. They also pick up trash at your site in the morning which is always appreciated. WiFi works really well … when it works. You get dropped a lot. Satellite shouldn’t be a problem. There are many startling, loud, souped up pickup trucks inside and outside the park. A huge Citgo plant is a couple miles away, and it seems many workers live here. Trains can be heard off in the distance sometimes more obvious than others. Oddly, a couple of times we had people talking right next to our RV early in morning 6ish. What the?!?!? Our site was also right by a speed bump that didn’t slow anyone down. It just made an ear-splitting sound as they banged their car/RV/truck over it. We would stay here again for a night despite all the noise – although we’d ask for a site away from the overlooked speed bump.…
On short notice we booked a month to stay at the RV park. Pleased we found thisRV Park, very clean and well maintained, the staff are very responsive and helpful. Large concrete pads and patios as well as large driveways. Recommend staying here, awesome value with two pools a hot tub, fish stocked lake, BBQ pavilion and well maintained grounds. Many appear to be long term stays working in the area so the park is very quiet. Rouses grocery store close by.
The manager there now is very Rude. We have been in our spot for 9 months now and she asked us to pack up what we have stored in RV and move 2 spots over. We have spoken highly of the RV park until now. The washers are disgusting and need to be replaced. The hot tub doesn’t work and Everyone drives very fast and I worry about all the children and families. If they would focus on improving things rather than just try to make people’s life miserable it would be a Great place to stay. Definitely need better management. Someone that knows public relations and not so dry and rude. Would not recommend staying here. Lake Charles parks are much better.
A true gem in SW Louisiana, this is one of the best looking RV parks we've seen since leaving in July. Concrete drives and pads, perfectly designed hookups, playground, 2 pools (1 family, 1 adult only, including a hot tub), decent fitness room, esp for free weight enthusiasts, 2 laundries and 2 meeting/reception rooms. 36 hotel rooms on site. Though there are several longer-term people, all RVs are well kept, clean and newer units. Right on the Creole Nature Trail (driving trip) and only 6 Mike's to Lake Charles and several casinos. We will stop here if back this way.
This is one of the nicest RV parks I have ever visited. We were very surprised as it has a rather nondescript name and is in a little out-of-the-way location. The park has all cement roadways and RV pads. The rest is thick grass. There are swimming pools pools and a hot tub. There is a fishing pond in the center of the park.It was extremely clean. Very very nice!
Very spacious sites and beautifully landscaped. Great price with lots of places to eat. A fishing pond and adult pool and jacuzzi. Friendly staff and clean restrooms . Easily located off the highway. 😊
I have now stayed here on two different occasions and have had no complaints except the key issue. They have issues with the card readers an i was issued a metal key. When i had a roommate this last time i requested 2 keys and never received the second key. Other than that I would recommend this place for any construction worker to stay while they are on a job. I worked nightshift both times and was very quite for the most part.
Was really impressed with the WIFI (we have stayed at 239 campgrounds since July of 2009) - this park is mostly permanents but lots of transients coming through - we stayed for a week - no street noise as its off Interstate 10 by several miles - we had a full hookup pull through site
We were only there for one night but it was lovely. we had a back in site right on the pond. It was level and easy to get in to. everything was so clean and well kept. the bathhouse looked new but the cleaning lady told us it was 15 yrs old. The staff was amazing....so nice and helpful. Late check in we were met with a smiling face and Dominique was so sweet. Passing through again we would drive an extra hour to stay there. 10 star rating on Good Sams site. we now know why. Absolutely worth that rating.
We didn’t unhook the towed vehicle and the site was just long enough. The park is very clean with a nice dog park however the ground was too soggy to use it. There’s a nice pond/lake, an adult only pool and a kid friendly pool. For the price $40 it was a good stay.
