Service was good. Good water pressure in shower and lots of hot water. But the room was not very clean and the pull-out sofa in the King room was very uncomfortable. Stayed on the main floor and were awakened by people walking around on the 2nd floor at 1:30am.

Front desk hospitality was great. Breakfast was somewhat lacking for what I have come to expect from a Fairfield. Room was not very clean, especially the shower and floor. Room was missing a hairdryer but I called the front desk to request and one was quickly brought up. Our room faced I-10 and I never heard any road noise.

My wife and I were staying at this property on points. The young woman who checked us in was pleasant and efficient and assigned us to a room on the third floor. She said that the property had been recently renovated with new beds and a new laundry, among other things. They had just reopened five days before our arrival. Pulling back the covers on one of the beds, my wife immediately noticed that the sheets were stained, not clean and not fresh. A clean room is a nonnegotiable item for me, so we went back down to the lobby and the desk clerk kindly reassigned us to another third-floor room. Unfortunately, the sheets on this bed were even worse, stained, and lightly littered with hair and a lot of unidentifiable particulate matter. The carpeting in the hallways and the elevator was likewise soiled. I did not have a chance to check out the bathroom. We contemplated asking for clean sheets and changing the linens ourselves, but opted instead to find another local property. The thought of spending the night there in the absence of just basic cleanliness was just not an option. As a life-time Bonvoy Gold rewards member with hundreds of Marriott-branded stays, rarely have I encountered a problem such as this. It is not up to Marriott's standards. The front desk clerk was quite apologetic but this obviously was not a problem for which she was responsible.

Since we got evacuated from Houma,I have been staying at the Fairfield hotel. THE ENTIRE STAFF HAS BEEN AWESOME. Very Friendly and very helpful, especially the front desk young lady by the name of Cathy or Kathy. She is the bomb Diggity.

Stop the lies, charging full rate removing chairs, breakfast and finally removing coffee makers from all rooms in the guise of covid. The staff are so helpful, unfortunately, this is a greedy owner. Rates are 165/ night Coffee makers are removed from the rooms. No breakfast and furniture removed beds only in my room. I was in Little Rock two nights ago 98 a night all services available. breakfast coffee makers etc. available. In Dallas three days ago the same 112 a night. In California, the most shutdown state....134 nights and all service available, breakfast was in bags....coffee makers were not removed. Marriot has basic standards coffee makers have been a standard since the late '80s. I was in Marriott Corp in the eighties, this hotel is violating their franchise agreement. The hurricanes have been gone for a few weeks, in case, the hotels use that as aanexcuse. MY team and I are leaving.

This is a typical Fairfield and I’d recommend staying here once the COIVID-19 virus is behind us. I found our room comfortable and the staff friendly. If it wasn't for the COVID-19 failures I'd rate this hotel a 4. However, I do not recommend staying here at this time: 1. Hotel staff turn a blind eye to asking guests to wear masks while in the lobby area. The night I stayed there was a group of five men sitting in the very small lobby for 3-4 hours watching football games without masks on. They had, apparently, eaten here and then settled in with their beverage of choice to enjoy an evening of football. Other guests had to carefully maneuver behind the unmasked men in order to fetch tea bags and creamers that were available in the back of the lobby - there was no other way to do this than to walk back and forth behind these men. I did not feel comfortable with this situation and advise anybody the least bit concerned about the possibility of catching COVID-19 to not stay here. 2. This hotel has opted to not provide a brand standard amenity….breakfast. COVID-19 is given as the rationale for not providing a breakfast but every other Marriott brand hotel I have stayed at that normally has a free breakfast for all guests has made adjustments and provides some type of breakfast (some even have microwaveable sandwiches and burritos). They provide coffee only in the morning and there are hot cocoa packs and tea bags set out all day. If the risk of COVID-19 doesn’t bother you and you do stay at this hotel I encourage you to request an adjustment to your room rate to compensate you for the breakfast this hotel should be providing. I am of the opinion that management is using the virus as a money saving excuse. Obviously they aren’t too worried about the virus if guests are allowed to stay in the lobby without masks on for hours. Enough said.

Hotel is relatively nice, but in some 80 hotel stays since COVID began, I have found Fairfield to be the worst at being cheap by using COVID as an excuse for no breakfast at all. In my experience the mid priced chains that have done the best job providing reasonable breakfast throughout this so called pandemic have been HIEX, Comfort Suites, Hampton Inn in that order. Several are even having their staff serve you a hot breakfast. Needless to say anyone in marketing will tell you, how you treat your customers in hard times will pay off in the long run!
