Called ahead and found out they were serving a full breakfast. Eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt, coffee, rolls, sweet muffins, cereal, and condiments. They put out a heaping supply of breakfast, but no refills because of the Covid. The breakfast hours are shortened, as you find in today’s new world. Otherwise, hotel was average, and we found the room a little musty. Hotel seemed a little worn and tired.
It's simple...don't stay in this hotel unless you are prepared to get a tetanus shot afterward. The rooms weren't cleaned, there was dirty hair everywhere, sinks and tubs were clogged, suffocating smoke in the room, no bedding, etc...apparently the rooms are just not cleaned regularly
Property and room was immaculate. The lobby is nicely maintained. There are no complaints this time. Wonderful job, keep up the great work. Location is perfect too. Overall, my stay was superb. I will be returning to this hotel again.
We were in Sulphur for the High School State swim meet. The staff went out of their way to accommodate about 25 teens plus many parents who attended. They were able to provide our group with a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere in the lobby as well as the private meeting room.
The property is older, needs updating. Musty smell, stained carpet, banged up paint on walls. A few lightbulbs were out in our room. Served it's purpose for one night. Nice staff, free breakfast and wifi.
I travel to Sulphur at least once a year and always have a great experience staying at this Wingate. The facility is clean, the rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable and the staff is so very accommodating and friendly.
Overall of this place 5 Star. Needs bigger toilets. Doesn’t need anything else other than that. I would definitely stay again. Price is a little high but the rooms are big and the showers are really nice. Water pressure is really high
I checked into my room (220) and it had a funny smell. Can't explain it, but I did not want to sleep in the room with that stench. Notified front desk and Eric, the property manager gave me another room (216). He upgraded me for the inconvenience. My husband later joined me and we were very pleased with the room up until we realized that we were sleeping on filthy sheets. The mattress pad and fitted sheet beneath us was soiled (disgusting). Again notified the front desk. This time a female was there and she was very apologetic and offered free items from the mini store and informed me that management would contact me regarding a discount on stay. She even sent the Hotel's Housekeeping Supervisor to the room. She saw the filth and immediately apologized. She stated that employees are quitting, etc... Hotel management (Eric) contacted me 2 days later, apologized, and offered a discounted stay on another visit. Hate to say it but I will not be returning to this hotel. Thanks but no thanks.…
We booked a room for 1 night on our way home from our vacation. We paid about 100.00 dollars so we expected a good experience. When we checked in our room smelled like fried chicken. The room was superficially clean, around the edges of the room it was dirty. The carpets were so dirty that they turned my husband's white socks black. There were teenagers running the halls at 12:30 am. and the person at the desk was unable to make them stop.
From the upper management, front desk, to the kitchen and room staff, everyone treated you like family, not a guess. If you need some peace of mind that everything is as advertised, I highly recommend choosing this hotel!
