Despite the negative reviews, this is a hidden gem. The lobby is beautifully appointed and welcoming. I love it that our room was right off the lobby and the ice machine right outside our door. Our room was great! Very clean. Bed very comfy. We loved it. Cookies in the lobby. The breakfast attendance was a sweetheart and the breakfast offerings, although simple, were entirely adequate and very tasty.

I've stayed at the hotel a couple times before. Never had any issues. I checked into my room yesterday. My bathroom was dirty. There was urine in the toilet. Somebody found the flush after they cleaned the room. Never had that issue before the room's always been really clean. It's normally a very clean hotel. For some I've ever had an issue. I'll be staying there every other month overnight for a while now. Hotel everyone's entitled mistake.

We arrived very late & was surprised with a gift for being chosen guest of the day. After a long 17 hour day this truly made our early morning arrival. Thank you so much!! Room was perfect, quiet, bed was comfy & will sure return. It’s easy to find and close to many restaurants & shopping.

I found this in an old review submitted by someone else, "travel963 wrote a review Nov 2019 Cons: Hard to find entrance driveway at night. We missed it and had to do a U-turn. Room air seemed stale, humid, slight chemical smell. Wall heater emitted an off odor. We tried two rooms and both had the same air problem. I’m sorry that modern motels don’t have windows that open so you can get some fresh air. Desk chair too low and would not go up due to broken pump mechanism. Very nice breakfast except oatmeal was like cement. Breakfast attendant very kind, could use a helper when hotel is busy." So it is clear to see that some of the rooms may have an off smell to them. I was charged for smoking in the room in which I clearly did not do. An earlier complaint was also made as breakfast was taken up 30 minutes prior to the cutoff time of 9:30. Be cautious and check your bill prior to leaving the area. Hotel management will not correct their mistake.…

Nice place. Clean. Large bathrooms. Nice sized room. Breakfast choices more limited than most HIEs. Nice touch: Whole milk available for breakfast! Breakfast also starts at 0530 which is great if you need to be out and about early. Housekeeping forgot to leave coffee one day. LED bulbs in rooms and actual bedside lamps! Crowded. Hard to get a long term reservation at times. Outside I-10 noise evident at night. Not overbearing but never goes away. Only one parking lot side has entrance / exit so don't miss Mallard Dr. Or you'll need to turn around Cracker Barrel just down the road or fast food within 1 to 2 miles.

Clean, close to the interstate, near restaurants! Friendly staff! I will add extra words to this review, but I would recommend dropping this requirement. All this does is make some guests decide not to leave a review. LESS IS MORE!!

We needed a place to stay for the night and ended up here. Front desk was very nice and helpful. We had a room on the top floor away from the interstate so the noise was minimal. Convenient to I-10. Would stay again

We arrived and were greeted warmly by the front desk agent. We had reservations and she had everything ready so all I had to do was sign/initial the form and she gave us keys and info regarding amenities. She said they wanted us to enjoy our stay, so don't hesitate to ask if we needed anything. The pool and jacuzzi were relaxing. The breakfast was ok and the lady working it was friendly and accommodating. The Watkins products were an awesome surprise, too. Housekeeping was friendly and accommodating as well. We would definitely stay here again! Well done. Your staff earned an A++

We stopped here for a night on the road trip. The hotel is of typical Holiday Inn Express standard, comfortable and clean. All the staff we came into contact with were very helpful. The guy on reception was very welcoming and recommended local places upon request. We had a problem with our room, in that our upstairs neighbours were extremely noisy children who were stomping around right through the night. The lady on night duty tried to ask them to be quiet but also offered us an alternative room and a free breakfast, despite the noise being in no way the hotel's fault. The aforementioned breakfast was freshly cooked and served by a charming hostess. If there's only one thing I could recommend they improve it would be their impact on the planet, all the single use toiletries, coffee cups in plastic etc. are a thing of the past and such items can be provided in a clean manner without so much disposable plastic.…

We agree with you about the importance of not leaving a negative impact on the planet, and are constantly looking for new ways to reduce our footprint, as brand standards allow.
