After our power went out and cell phone service went down following Ida, we decided to head west and luckily we were able to find a room available here. Certainly not the nice or best hotel I've ever stayed at, but it had a decent bed, cold A/C, and a warm shower, and that's all I needed at that point. I suggest asking for a 3rd floor room; otherwise, you'll hear the people above you. Unfortunately the guests in the room above us sounded like they were re-enacting WrestleMania all night, but I had earplugs with me so I was able to drown out most of the noise. Overall, I was satisfied.
We are here for our 10 Yr Anniversary, had a wonderful 1st night stay at the Golden Nugget and just wanted to hang around one more day and enjoy a day out on the boat we rented. Needed a quick place to sleep, and just did a random search. The ratings/reviews were fair and decent price. Unfortunately, we came to find the conditions of this extended stay hotel were Just Not Up To Par. Simple room, no wall art :(, but all the needed amenities. 1. Stained sheets (should be disposed of) that gave me a bad feeling. 2. Trash piled in various places, probably gathering for pick up, but once removed, the funk of is is left behind to stain the ground. (the word gross inputted there) Cigarette butts on ground throughout. Shame on the people flicking them everywhere, but surely it should be a part of the clean up process. 3. I took the Lysol wipes to the fridge, door knobs, telephone and ac controls. If u guessed they were dirty, you guess right. If corona were to try to be spread, it could happen here. Also debris and dust bunnies under bed. Overall, it was hard to rest easy, but we got back to hotel late, so just had to suck it up. Thank goodness for the staff. They were friendly, professional and courteous. If you have to stay here, just bring your Lysol wipes, your own sheets and pillows, and paper towels.…
The front office staff was excellent they were very friendly and were helpful with all my needs I really enjoyed my stay there I would recommend this hotel to all my friends. The rooms were very clean there were no bugs at all and the maintenance was always fast and friendly when ever you needed anything done they were very prompt
The stay was horrible!! The people above us literally did not sit down, keep still, or even sleep our entire stay and weekend. Had to notify the front desk about it twice. We were in a double room and they had no other double rooms to move us to so we could get away from the noisy guests. I barely got any sleep because of this. It literally sounded like they were going from one side of the room to the other stomping and dropping weights. It was nonstop noise and chaos. The next day we complained again about the noise. He front desk clerk did pick up the phone to call them but we didn’t stay to hear what she told them. Later that day the fire alarm went off because of some guests who had set it off. At this time we realized both of our keys were flashing red and not allowing us in which meant our keys were only set for one night instead of two. We go downstairs to the office to get our keys remade and the door is locked with a sign saying “On Property”. We waited almost 30 minutes outside the door even though the front desk clerk saw us standing there. Not only were we waiting outside, but so were several people who needed to check in to the hotel. We’re finally allowed inside and get our keys remade. Later that night of course the people above us were at it again performing a full on circus with no respect for us at all. The next morning which was our checkout morning, there was no hot water at all. So we couldn’t take showers. It was just one thing after another. There were homeless people sleeping in the grass. Crackheads who occupied rooms trying to sell us drugs. It just wasn’t a great stay whatsoever. We will never stay there again no matter how cheap and affordable they are. Never again!!!…
Still waiting on my refund for the room booked that we couldn’t stay in because it was not cleaned but they still put us in! When I got into the room all I could was cry. It was the dirtiest hotel room I’ve ever seen. Floors were covered in dried dirt and crumbs. Bathroom was not cleaned, there was shaving cream on the side smeared. There was NO TOILET PAPER, sink area was dirty. Toilet paper in the sink in the kitchenette area. Fridge door was caked in food / fingerprints. Dead spiders in the sheets, poop?/barf? Left on the comforter ( obviously not washed). We ended up staying at the Holliday Inn across the street.
My Husband works in Sulfur and this is the hotel he stays at a few days a week weekly with his crew. He always talked about Sholanda the lady who was always was nice to him and would go and clean a room if the room he needed was not ready. I finally met her and indeed she really loves the work she doing. I witnessed her cleaning rooms late and going touch up rooms when people come in hotel. I have not seen any other worker do that. I hope she is getting the pay she deserves. I just wanted to write a review to let you know that we are sometimes quick to write a bad review and let good experiences slide past us.
I work in the construction and worked night shift on a turnaround and every morning when i open the door to my room i had to air out the STRONG odor of marijuana. I do not smoke anything and was pissed that i had air out and spray my room out several times a day with the fear the smell would be on my uniforms. I made several compliments and even asked to be moved with no response from management. I finally moved out at the end of the 4th day to another motel. Unless you like smell and the constant slamming doors and people arguing, do not stay here.
Jas , thank you for being so helpful with my booking. I love that you address me by name every time. You are very kind and polite. I appreciate your help. Keep up the good work. A smiling face is always comforting.
I really Enjoyed my stay at hometown studios the lady jas in the front desk is nice and respectful. Good rooms at good service. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a home away from home.
Price was good, clean comfortable room. Very patient and personable staff especially Ms. Jas.they made every effort to get me in the type room and location I requested. My stay was for six weeks and the staff even had quarters available onsite for the laundry.
