On the shore of the Firth of Forth, Queensferry is situated ten miles to the north of Edinburgh. So the Premier Inn Hotel Edinburgh (South Queensferry) is the ideal base for venturing into Scotland's first city, or for exploring the majestic landscape of the Lothians. Queensferry has some puzzling traditions, like the procession of the Burry Man and the annual dip in the Firth of Forth. But there are plenty of other things to do, such as a visit to the Georgian splendour of Hopetoun House or Dundas Castle. There are lots of business venues and good transport links. Once you're done for the day, come back to great food at our Brewers Fayre restaurant and a lovely comfy bed.

We stayed here last week during a trip to Edinburgh to visit the zoo - 2 adults and a 4 and 2 year old. We had a family room. It was very handily located for this - about 15 mins drive from the zoo. We had seen when booking that this hotel was at a services but were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to find how quiet the area actually was. It's not right by the main road so not noisy and there's no trucks stopping or anything like that. Handily close to a McDonald's and a petrol garage (which also has a small M&S shop for essentials). The family room was perfect for our needs, we had a double bed, full sized single and slightly smaller pull out style single. All came fully made up. The pull out bed was slightly less comfy than the others but was perfectly acceptable as an extra bed - my 2 year old slept well on it and I also spent some time on it without a problem. There was also a bath which was a nice surprise as often hotels only provide a shower. We had the £9.99 full breakfast which includes unlimited hot and continental breakfast. Plus kids eat free with this deal. The breakfast was served in the brewers fayre attached to the hotel and the staff there were amazing, super friendly with us and good with kids. Cooked breakfast was delicious and well made. Good range of continental also and unlimited hot drinks and juice. All the reception staff we spoke to were very friendly and explained things well. A great stay, definitely recommend if you are visiting Edinburgh but don't want to drive right into the city centre or pay city centre prices.

Stayed here for one night and enjoyed the meal deal which included dinner and breakfast. Excellent value and lovely food. Breakfast was delicious and it was lovely to have everything freshly cooked to order. James who served us breakfast was particularly friendly and efficient. We’ll definitely be back!

We chose this hotel as it was central for where we wanted to visit (Edinburgh Zoo, Deep Sea World and the park and ride for Edinburgh center. Really good stay overall, good service and the restaurant was decent. Just wish the 3rd pull out bed in our family room had been more comfortable as that was our only issue. Love how comfortable the main double bed was. Room was clean and the location was perfect for what we wanted to do.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights at the Premier Inn South Queensferry as my wife was attending a cookery course nearby. We had a lovely stay. The hotel is in a good location, very handy for the Forth Bridges cruise which we took. It is a short drive from Ingliston Park and Ride where you can park for free and take the tram into the centre of Edinburgh. Ask for a room with a view of the bridges as they are impressive - particularly when lit at night. The staff at reception and in the restaurant were exceptionally friendly. We were particularly impressed by Ann in the restaurant and Lesley at reception. Keep up the good work! We will certainly return to this hotel.

Have been couple of times in this hotel. It was mich better condition and services. Can't find any shower gel and toilet paper. Towels were stained. Bad smell came from the bathroom on morning. Heating system switched off.

The check-in time was 3pm and my friends wedding began at 1.30pm. I phoned a few days before and was provided with such incredible instructions on when to phone the day of to confirm early check-in. I got the first room that had been cleaned and was completely taken care of from start to finish, which included being provided plasters as staff understood that I was wearing heels for the event. Completely happy with the service and would definitely recommend!

I am very pleased to choose this Premier inn. I was originally thinking in Edinburgh. No problem parking my car and frequent train service to Edinburgh. It’s worth staying here rather than paying very expensive Edinburgh price. Friendly staff with good nigh sleep!

I don’t usually write reviews on premier inns as they are all the same, clean, comfortable and good value for short staff use! But felt I needed to give credit where credit is due, this premier inn is just like the rest apart from the staff, who were excellent!!! Each and every staff member we came across were friendly, chatty, smiles on their faces! The staff made the stay even better!! This was also the same in the restaurant next door, good breakfast aswell!! Location is quite good for seeing some of the sights in Edinburgh, I would definitely stay again!!

Staff were friendly and lovely. The room was clean and had what we needed. The room was too hot even with the window open. Toilet roll is poor quality. Food next door is before average we had breakfast there and decided to not eat there for the rest of the stay. Location was good close enough to places we wanted to visit.
