This is a 100 plus year old Victorian with much of its original character maintained. It’s simple, not elegant, but very comfortable. Our room was quite large compared to many inns we’ve visited and it was well furnished, warm and quiet. It also offered a distant view through tree tops of the Kennebec River. Breakfast was simple, homemade delicious oatmeal with a buffet of delicious toppings. Coffee, orange juice and hard boiled eggs were also offered. All was served communal style at a large dining table. The hostess was charming and dedicated. She works hard to maintain this large old home which like others of its age require constant maintenance, not an easy task. She’s very cordial, loves where she lives and enjoys sharing this historic property. The location is minutes from a pleasant public park and downtown shops. We would definitely return.

I stayed in the Sail Loft. The room was spotless. Really, it stood out to me how clean the place was, especially the bathroom. I really appreciate a place that puts a concerted effort into cleanliness.

I was staying for an extended time and planned to bring some of my own food with me. The room didn't have a mini-fridge so I planned to bring my own, which Jackie graciously agreed to.

Jackie herself was pleasant to talk to in the mornings before I'd head out each day, and she shared her advice on places to see and eat at in the area. If you're shopping for groceries, I recommend you check out the Bath Natural Market!

Some notes on the room: The room itself is spacious and generally quiet. Sometimes you can hear some low noise from the main kitchen area or from cars driving by, but I didn't find it bothersome. The smell of breakfast in the morning may wake you up, depending on what's being cooked. This could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on your plans for the day. :) The bathroom has a bidet, which I found interesting since I don't think they are that common in the US. The AC is at bed-level, so you may need to fiddle with the fins to direct the air in a comfortable direction.

Love the Inn at Bath. We stayed in the lavender room, it’s enormous with lots of light, luxurious towels and ironed sheets(which I love). Jackie is a professional chef and every breakfast was incredible. If you like to eat, stay here.

The Inn was beautiful and in keeping with the period it was built. Kelly, the owner, made us feel special and welcome with her attention to even little details. She made staying there a wonderful experience and we will definitely recommend it to others and revisit it ourselves if we go back to Bath.

When the room we reserved was actually not available, owner Jackie called us and would not move us to a room with a TV. She did not care. would not help us. Told us we would have to wait until Sept 2021. We told her we had our hearts set on that room she said " you just made the reservation 2 hours ago, how could you be disappointed? Her voice was raised and trembling. Please do not put your emotional problems on me. Looked like a nice place, with Norman Bates running it.

Do not take the word Pleasant lightly. My stay at The Inn at Bath was exactly what I was looking for in a Bed and Breakfast. An intriguing host, a great breakfast, and conversation if initiated. You have the option to eat alone or with guest who are also looking to chat over breakfast. The rooms are very sweet, comfortable, and clean. The Inn is located in the Historic District, has ample parking, and is in walking distance to Bath's center and the Kennebec River. I will be returning for another stay.

The Inn at Bath is charming, comfortable, clean and inviting. The owner is a fabulous chef and prepares gourmet breakfasts with local natural ingredients. She is warm and friendly and truly makes you feel at home. We've stayed in the Garden Room and enjoyed reading on the patio outside the door. It's an easy walk to the shops and restaurants in Bath.

We love to stay in Inns and bed & breakfasts when we travel to quaint locations. The Inn at Bath was the most charming B&B we have ever visited. Everywhere we turned could have been a charming still life picture! The careful attention to details, from the decor to the placement of amenities was exceptional. Our days started with artistry on a plate. Sometimes perfection is daunting, but in this Inn it was approachable and welcoming. The perfect place to stay in one of the most charming villages in Maine.

The Inn at Bath has obviously been around for a very long time, like so many of the wonderful buildings in the Town of Bath. But, as an Inn, it started afresh last fall with new ownership. And the changes have been simply spectacular!

I just finished a four-night stay after being in town to visit family. We would normally stay at the nearby Hampden, but it was full for a wedding. What a lucky break for us!

Kelly took over the Inn at the end of last year and has given the place a complete make over. All new linens, updating of decor and the 1840's home just shines. The rooms are spacious, light and airy, the beds comfortable and the hospitality is just wonderful.

Kelly herself is delightful and a wonderful Innkeeper. She is cherry and friendly, but not in that sometimes weird B&B way that can be off-putting. :) She was just great.

And if all of this was not enough, the breakfast served each day was incredible. A three course meal to get you off to a good start with an endless pot of good coffee. Kelly sources all of her ingredients from the farmer's market and a nearby Italian bakery. So yummy. (See photos) Snacks, drinks and sweets are always out if you are so inclined.

We had a great visit, and I can't imagine staying anywhere else the next time I am in Bath!

Bill
