The innkeepers have meticulously renovated and maintained this lovely home. Also, Rebecca is a masterful cook (with luck you'll get Maine wild blueberry pancakes during your stay as I did...delish!) and delightful & informative hostess.
Kennebec Inn and hostess Rachel Parlin are what a Maine vacation's all about! The Inn is immaculately clean as well as fully welcoming. The decor is historic but not overstated. Quiet relaxation seems to be a primary theme of the Inn: even if the weather's inclement you could spend most of the day reading & relaxing in your room, or in the front parlor where there's a large selection of books relevant to the region. The beds & mattresses are solid, guaranteed to provide a full-night's sleep. The bathrooms & showers are immaculate. In the morning, you may be awakened by aromas of a wonderful French Canadian breakfast & coffee being prepared by Rachel. In the afternoon, upon return to your room, you'll find awesome homemade chocolate chip/ walnut cookies awaiting!…
Passing through Bath, needed a place to stay, this great B&B showed up in my search...so glad it did. Rachel was waiting for me with a warm welcome, bottled water and a huge choc chip cookie. She made me feel right at home, showing me around and giving me tips for food and drink and assuring me of the safety of the town. Remington Room was perfect, breakfast was delicious and more than one could eat. Fresh fruit, pastry, the best pancakes I’ve ever eaten, sausage, coffee and all at a beautifully set table. Just a quick pass-through this trip, but I would definitely go back!
This is one of the best B&B we have stayed. The rooms are well decorated, extra- clean and 9, with all you need and more. Mattress beyond comfortable, toiletries and great linens. Breakfast was abundant and delicious, home made granola, yoghurt, mint from the owner’s garden. Pool at the garden , also extra-clean. We truly recommend this place. Owner have is great advice about surrounding area and was great and helpful!
Bath, ME bills itself as "Maine's Cool Little City," and it does not disappoint. There are many interesting things to see and do--and great places to eat--in this village and the surrounding area. My night at the Kennebec Inn was flawless: welcome chocolate chip walnut cookies; charming renovated inn; big, comfortable bedroom with great light on 3 sides, excellent brakfast and conversation with the innkeeper, Rachel Poston. My only regret was that it was a one-night stay!
