We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Kennebec Inn! Everything from the moment we arrived was perfect. Rachel made us feel at home and provided recommendations for out in town and breakfast in the morning was delicious. It was just a quick stop for us on our way down the coast, but we will sure to be back!
Rachel is a wonderful host, who makes herself available to you if you need something, but otherwise stays in the background. The Kennebec Inn is absolutely spotless, well appointed inside and out (in ground pool!), and her breakfast was not only delicious but appealing to both my husband who has a very good appetite, and me, who is always looking for a healthy way to manage calories - and she satisfied us both. I would definitely stay here again, and can highly recommend this Inn to others.
We are on our second second visit to Rachel's B&B and although five years separated our two visits, our host was just as welcoming and helpful as in 2012. Rachel served us the tastiest homemade breakfast and using great quality ingredients. She knows how to put her guests at ease and encourage conversations between her guests during breakfast if they so desire. We love the Captain Reed room located on the second floor above the dining room. It is spacious and the bathroom was renovated in 2016 to install a large glass shower with a rain shower head. We love the proximity to the beaches such as Popham Beach and many others in the area. We are not fans of hostels or B & Bs but at Rachel's, there is a little something special that makes us feel good and welcomed. The…
My husband and I stayed here for our one year wedding anniversary. We were floored by our experience and the Kennebec Inn. Would give more than 5 stars if I could. The innkeeper Rachel went above and beyond to make sure we felt right at home, while still having our space. We enjoyed the Remington Room, and it had the feel of an 1800s home while having many modern touches. The room was immaculate. There are 4 rooms, with a 5th one coming soon - so it's small enough to be cozy but there are other guests to mingle with if you choose. Rachel makes wonderful breakfasts every morning, everything from Pecan Praline French Toast, to Eggs Benedict & Maine Blueberry pancakes. When she discovered my husband did not eat pork, she made sure to have turkey bacon the next morning. There are…
