Built in 1851 by Captain James B. Perkins, the Inn offers a park-like setting with vintage barn, easy parking, picnic area, large peaceful en-suites, and a gated in ground swimming pool. Among other things, guests enjoy a three-course breakfast served each morning on beautiful Blue Willow China, free wireless internet, easy access to town, shopping and beach. But the best part about The Kennebec Inn is its welcoming feel and the owner's attention to detail. Relax...You're at the Kennebec Inn.
Trip Advisor, The Kennebec Inn is a marvelous place to stay while you are in Bath. This former sea captain’s home is well appointed with period furniture and is incredibly well kept. The Innkeeper, Rachel, makes you feel right at home with numerous personal touches. The wonderful breakfast is simply gourmet. The pool is bordered by a beautiful wood, a place to relax after a day of touring. Historic Bath has a lot to offer such as the world famous Maine Maritime Museum. Bath has many cool shops and great restaurants. In the Bath area, there is the fantastic Popham Beach State Park right at the mouth of the Kennebec River. My wife and I had the opportunity to spend 3 nights at this gorgeous, well-maintained, spotlessly clean and scrumptiously delicious B&B on our late June trip to Maine. Innkeeper, Rachel, runs a tight ship from start-to-finish providing ideas, suggestions, and the best breakfast possible. With breakfasts like those provided, you can get by with just one more meal per day. We enjoyed the Remington room and had sufficient privacy along with all necessary accoutrements. We are already planning a return visit in the future. Thank you, Rachel, for sharing as well, your recipes for banana bread and chocolate chip cookies! Talk about the gift that keeps on giving!

Thank you folks for the lovely compliments. The pleasure was all ours, as we shared good conversation with each other. I hope you enjoy making the recipes, and when you return, I will give you the recipe for my oatmeal raisin walnut cookies. I remember you were a great fan of those too. Sincerely, Rachel & Ken

A lovely inn near the heart of Bath, ME. Our room (The Captain Perkins Room) was spacious, beautifully furnished, and had a comfortable king-sized bed. It also boasts a private entrance (a nice feature). Our host Rachel was engaging and made us feel welcome. She's also a fabulous cook and served breakfasts that were tasty and creative (without being over-the-top, as at some other B&B's we've experienced). The Inn is within walking distance of the center of town and the riverbank. Its location is also a perfect launching point for area attractions, such as Popham Beach and Five Islands. Highly recommended! We'll book there again next time we're in the area.

Can't believe it's taken me so long to write this review as we enjoyed our stay so much. Rachel has a beautifully decorated home and provides the most delicious breakfasts. We stayed in the Remington Room which was gorgeous, spacious and very comfortable. Rachel was really helpful about things to do for our couple of days. Downtown Bath is easily walkable. Can thoroughly recommend..... even came away with a recipe for the delicious pumpkin bread. 😁

My S.O. and I wanted an escape from big city livin', and we couldn't have found a better spot. The Kennebec Inn is a truly gorgeous home that is kept up by Rachel, a warm and courteous host with incredible cooking skills. We stayed in the America's Cup room, which was spacious, yet cozy, with beautiful furnishings and a large, private en suite bathroom. Each morning we woke up to the smell of pastries baking in the kitchen a few feet down the hall. Rachel's breakfasts are extraordinary. She also helped us come up with an itinerary for our trip, recommending places to explore and great restaurants in Bath and in nearby Freeport and Portland. I would definitely stay here again!

The Kennebec Inn is a B&B gem. Nestled near the town of Bath it is a perfect place to stay during your visit to Mid-coast Maine. The Inn is beautifully decorated with just the right touch of classic New England design that is both comfortable and sophisticated all at once. Not so easy to do, but Rachel is a phenomenal host and inn keeper. She understands how to make guests feel welcome and cared for whatever might be required during your stay. Best of all Kennebec Inn is located within a short drive of one of the most spectacular beaches in Maine, Popham Beach. I’ve spent the last four summers staying at the Kennebec Inn and plan to make my way back again and again.

My husband and I stayed for one night on our way home from Canada to Boston. What a lovely stopover! Rachel is a gracious host, and the inn reflects thoughtfulness and attention to detail. Our room (up a very steep flight of stairs) featured well-chosen antiques, a super-comfortable bed, two chairs for reading, and a brand new en-suite bathroom with an amazing rain shower. Wifi was great. It's a few minutes' walk to downtown Bath, where there are restaurants and shops. In the morning, Rachel treated us to an absolutely delicious breakfast that included omelets, yogurt and granola, baked apples and pumpkin bread. Though it was chilly when we visited, there's a pool and beautiful grounds out back. I would most definitely stay here again.

The Kennebec is a beautiful inn, very well maintained and tastefully furnished. We stayed in the America's Cup room which is a huge, comfortable room, overlooking the garden and pool at the back of the house. Rachel was a fantastic host and the breakfasts were delicious - pumpkin bread, mmmmmmm! Bath is a cute little town, quite quiet but really enjoyed our stay - thoroughly recommended.

This B&B is everything you would expect from staying in a historic home in New England. The house is lovely and furnished with beautiful antiques. Our room was quite comfy and spacious, with modern amenities, including a newly updated bathroom. Breakfast was fantastic - eggs Benedict cooked perfectly along with a couple sweet dishes and fresh coffee. The only downside was having to carry luggage up the very narrow, steep staircase to our room, so we opted to just bring up a few things up at a time. Lovely stay, friendly hostess, great location, delicious food - a winning combination.

We spent one night at the Kennebec Inn in early October during a New England foliage road trip. The Inn is beautifully furnished and maintained, and was impeccably clean. We stayed in the Remington Room, which was beautifully furnished with a good sized bathroom. It was adjacent to the kitchen, and we could smell breakfast and coffee in the morning. Our room overlooked the backyard and pool area. Rachel was a lovely and accommodating host. Very friendly and welcoming. At check in, she asked if we had any dietary restrictions, and when she found out my husband has food allergies, she went out of her way to make sure he was fed. She left him a gluten free cookie, and made him a special breakfast the next morning that he raved about. The location is a little outside the…
