Built in 1851 by Captain James B. Perkins, the Inn offers a park-like setting with vintage barn, easy parking, picnic area, large peaceful en-suites, and a gated in ground swimming pool. Among other things, guests enjoy a three-course breakfast served each morning on beautiful Blue Willow China, free wireless internet, easy access to town, shopping and beach. But the best part about The Kennebec Inn is its welcoming feel and the owner's attention to detail. Relax...You're at the Kennebec Inn.
The Kennebec Inn is THE place to stay in Bath. If you want a great Bed and Breakfast with old world ambiance this is the place for you. Rachel was very friendly, welcoming and full of information about the city. Our room was on the 1st floor and fit our needs perfectly. The bedroom was very spacious with a comfortable bed, large bathroom and great pillows. The 3 course breakfast was generous with a great selection of sweet breads, fresh fruit, cereal, breads and eggs. The Kennebec Inn is in a great location, very close to downtown, GREAT shopping and a myriad of restaurants. We highly recommend Kennebec Inn and would stay there again.

We just returned from several days in Maine and stayed at the Kennebec Inn for two nights. The room was spacious, clean, filled with light, and in perfect condition for an older home. The king bed extremely comfortable and both mornings started with a delicious, healthy breakfast. We were last minute, first time guests, yet were warmly greeted as long-time, returning customers by Rachel. We come to the Bath area frequently and will definitely stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for two nights, around a friend's daughter's wedding. It is one of the most beautiful and serene and warmest inns I've ever stayed in. The building and rooms are light, airy, bright and immaculate. Unlike a lot of inns, you never feel hemmed in by chochkes (translation: insignificant decorative items). Our room was quite large. There's a big outdoor pool and a pretty front porch. Breakfast was fresh, delicious and filling, in the pretty dining room next to the huge modern kitchen. The innkeeper is warm, friendly, but unobtrusive, and has had a fascinating life and career. She clearly cares about her guests. Bath is a great, pretty town with wonderful restaurants and shops, with a few great bookstores. I would happily come back to the Kennebec…

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at the Kennebec Inn. We were there for 4 nights and every day after journeying out it felt like we were coming back to our very own cozy, warm home. The location is a great jumping off point for other fun areas like Boothbay Harbor, Portland, Freeport, and plenty of beautiful beaches. Rachel was a great host - her breakfasts are truly amazing! She was extremely accommodating, too - I have a nut allergy and called ahead of time to let her know, and she made sure to prepare only nut-free options for me. She also leant us beach supplies and gave us great tips for things to do and see. Additionally, she took the time to get to know us so we felt totally welcomed and comfortable. Highly recommend staying here!

Rachel was an absolutely lovely host - she was very welcoming, provided superb information about things to do in Bath along with a map, cooked a gourmet breakfast in the morning, and even left out some wine glasses in the night knowing we had been out in the day to buy wine. Her attention to detail was impeccable. The house is lovely (especially the gorgeous armchair in the America's Cup Room) and the town has some great restaurants!

This was a very good bed-and-breakfast. Very well-kept room. The hostess was very nice and informative. Breakfasts were excellent! The only negative I can think of is that the street noise was pretty prevalent in our room. Pretty close walk to town and the beach and hiking trails.

The Kennebec Inn is so well-run and balanced that it sets a national standard. The cleanliness is impeccable. The rooms are bright and welcoming. The towels and linens are fresh and clean - they feel & smell wonderful - equivalent to the best 5-star hotel. The beds are solid and truly comfortable. Likewise, the breakfast and the service are what one would find at the best of restaurants. The inn is clearly run as a source of pride & professionalism by Rachel and her staff. Rachel is dedicated to welcoming her guests, many of whom hail from all over the US & globe. As an added benefit, the location of the Kennebec Inn is very convenient. Bath is a friendly little town with plenty to see & do, most within walking distance of the Inn. In addition, the Inn…

Good or bad, I don't normally write reviews. But the experience my girlfriend and I had in May 2016 at the Kennebec Inn merited a review. First off, the grounds and the interior of the Inn are absolutely stunning and Rachel keeps everything clean. Secondly, Rachel herself, is genuinely one of the nicest & most helpful people I have ever met in my life. She really went out of her way to explain what to do, what to see and where to go, every day out of the four days we were there. If and when we ever go back to Bath, we know where we're staying.

The Kennebec Inn was a wonderful first time experience at a B & B. I think it will be hard to beat. First, Rachel immediately makes you feel welcome and at home. The bed was very comfortable and bath was first rate. The Inn location in Bath made it easy to get to points of interest. The breakfasts were so delicious. We would love to stay there again on our next trip to Maine.

Rachel is wonderful and made me feel at home. I've never stayed in a B&B but will again! I'm glad KInn was my first experience. The beds are very comfortable, property is very clean and organized, antiques and real to building's era! I loved everything about the place and the people! I would certainly be back!!! Thank you, Rachel for this experience! Ambre
