We are currently a week into a 3 week stay with brand new born twins and our 6 year old son in a 2 bed room.

The location of the hotel is excellent, although just off the highway, it is quiet and just a short 10-15m Walk into the beautiful town of Bath.

We arrived 2 days before the twins were born and and were naturally quite concerned about cleanliness. The house keeping were amazing to give a deep clean of the room and make it spotless. Maria and the entire team were amazing.

The rooms are very good, with full kitchenette and large fridge. Beds are super comfortable and showers powerful and hot. Grab and go breakfast every day and a really good swimming pool that my 6 year old enjoys.

The very best thing about this hotel has to be the staff! Joan on the front desk is an absolute delight. She not only bought us a present for our new born babies but also for our 6 year old son. She is absolutely delightful!! Paul the GM is excellent and extremely accommodating, has built an strong culture here and you can tell everyone feels part of a family which makes guests feel part of the family. Sarah also super nice and helpful and a great manager of the team.

Would highly recommend the Resident Inn for a stay in the Bath Brunswick area. We visited a few AirBnBs as well as the Brunswick Inn (also good but a boutique hotel so without kitchenette, breakfast, gym, pool etc).

Also if you are a hiker / trail runner, there are some great trail immediately outside the hotel.

We have stayed at this location several times, most using Marriott points. Rooms are always clean, with a kitchenette, often a separate bedroom. Good breakfast buffet with eggs sausage, bacon, fresh fruit, pastries, etc, not just a continental breakfast. Location is on very busy RT 1, but noise level is fine. There is a one time $100 fee for dogs regardless of the length. I’d prefer a smaller daily fee or a deposit for any damage.

Thank you for choosing the Residence Inn for your travel needs. I'm delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay. I understand the frustration with the pet fee for one night stays and have begun discussing a smaller nightly fee for short stays.

We were looking for a pet friendly hotel, with breakfast and an indoor pool and we got all of that and more at this RI. Tyler and all of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Hotel and our room were clean, with only minor imperfections that didn’t bother me much. The shower was amazing! Hotel staff responded without hesitation to a few last minute requests which was great. Breakfast assortment was great! Our kids very much enjoy it, and the pool too! It snowed all 3 days we were there and they did a good job of maintaining the parking lot. Only ting we’d ask if if trash cans could be provided out doors for the disposal of dog poop. We carry bags to pick it up, but there was no where to throw it out!

We usually avoid the RI brand due to their pet policy (we have allergies) but we were assured by the desk agent when we called that they would get a pet free room for us and they did. It was a nice size and very clean when we arrived. Everything worked but the AC and the fridge were really noisy at night. Although it was next to a busy street there was minimal street noise. They offered free poland spring water upon arrival. It was easy to get towels when we needed it, just asked at the desk and avoided maid service.
Located in an easy area to get to other places which was our goal. The downtown area in Bath is cute so don't dismiss it, go there for a meal!
We deducted a star from this review because we were unable to use the gym at all. I asked every day and it was booked. For $180 a night I expect to be able to use the gym every day. The noise at night from the fridge ice maker and ac were crazy loud, I anticipate you can't fix those. If you aren't a light sleeper and don't need a gym, this hotel is perfect. If you are a light sleeper, I'd avoid.

When we checked in, we were told that the hotel does not offer housekeeping every day due to staffing shortages, but that if you stayed 2+ nights that housekeeping would come to clean the room. On Saturday, our third day, we thought that housekeeping would have come in the morning while we were out, but this did not happen. We called the front desk at noon to let them know that housekeeping needed to clean our room and that we would be leaving for an event after 2pm. Imagine our surprise when we returned on Saturday evening and saw that housekeeping never cleaned our room. I was pretty upset. I called down and let the front desk know and asked them to send up clean towels which they did. The total for my three night stay was over $1,000 and I must say this is unacceptable for the product I received. I work in hospitality and am very familiar with the staffing crunch, however, I feel like the amount charged does not line up with the quality of what was received. I reached out to speak with someone immediately after my stay and was offered additional Marriott points as compensation. That is hilarious - in closing - I should have gone with the less expensive option and stayed elsewhere because for $300/night - this place is not worth it!

I lived in Portland for two years and my family has traveled to Maine every year for the last 12 or 13 years. We have tried a lot of different hotels on the way from New Jersey to mid-cost Maine. This is new and was really terrific. The room I had was huge and worked very well in terms of my having to write a report the evening I arrived. It had lots of outlets, good lighting, it was very quiet. Also, because it is a residence inn, I popped across the highway to a grocery store and bought food that I was able to prepare in the microwave and keep in the refrigerator. Very convenient. Also, Marriott has a key-less entry where you check in remotely and the code for the door of your room and room number is sent to your phone. I am a Marriott frequent traveler and this hardly ever works, but it worked at this hotel. So, I flew to Portland, drove to this hotel, checking in along the way, stopped at the grocery store across Route 1, bought groceries, went to the room without having to stop at reception, and spent 5 hours before bed writing my report without interruption. The next morning I worked out in the fitness center, which was very good and had breakfast before going to my meeting. I wish this was my experience in every city. It was perfect for my needs.

On a recent trip through New England , my wife and I stayed in Bath for 2 nights. The Residence is managed by Paul and the quality of his leadership permeates the place. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. The site is well-maintained and COVID protocol is strictly followed. They even found creative but safe ways ways to present the morning breakfast. The central location made side visits to Boothbay Harbor and LL Bean quite easy.
It's an area and a Residence that we are looking forward to a return visit.
One small note: on a two week vacation in varying climates , we had certain luggage needs. We always make use of the standard wheeled luggage movers but they can be awkward. The Residence also offered the option of a push cart approach [ think of Harry Potter as he entered 9 3/4 on the way to the Hogwarts train]. It was very easy to use and hopefully more Marriott properties will make them available.

This Residence Inn offers all-suite rooms. This one bedroom suite had a handicapped equipped bathroom with a walk-in shower which they reserved for me and it is the only suite in the hotel so equipped.
The whole experience was very good, from the front desk to the room cleaners to the free breakfast offerings.
Just one suggestion for the management.Since there is only one handicapped suite it gets a great amount of usage by disable people, some who are wheelchair bound and others who just need the stability of the hand rails in the bathroom. Therefore, it needs some renovations to bring it up to the standards expected. The furniture was a little worn and rickety and the roll-out couch was not very comfortable for regular seating. That said, the bed was very comfortable.
My suggestion does not change my overall opinion of an excellent four day stay. I would recommend this site to anyone staying in the Brunswick/Bath area.

Unfortunately this is a very delayed review as we stayed there before COVID(TripAdvisor wouldn’t let me pick anything older than June 2020), but I wanted to give kudos to the staff at this hotel. The location is not the most scenic but certainly highly convenient as our launch point for locations up and down the Maine coast. Everyone we met there was so friendly and helpful. We were only there for 3 nights but they made us feel like family. Breakfast buffet was great. By the last morning we probably could have gone for someplace else for variation but it was fine. Rooms very clean, with a great kitchen area where we were able to have some fresh fruit. Beds were comfy and felt very cozy. Definitely worth a return trip.

I highly recommend this hotel. My family and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and we were very satisfied. Rooms are clean & smell fresh with a complete suite with full kitchen which made it easier for family with young kids. Staff are extremely professional and helpful. They recommended us some great place to eat and visit! We were very happy with our stay at this hotel and would definitely come back.
